    Never been on the Black, Courtois or Huzzah or upper Jacks Fork and want to. I hear the Kings is nice and want to hit that one too. I've floated all of the Buffalo from Ponca to the White River but it's been a long time since I've been on it and want to again. Haven't seem much of Bryant Creek either and need to see more of that one too.

    I had some bad luck yesterday. Went down hard on the ice and landed directly on my right shoulder, didn't even get a chance to try to catch myself. Can't raise my right arm now much more than maybe 20 degrees from my side. My wife had to put my socks on for me. I'm worried that I may have torn something. Hopefully not and it's just sore and stiff from the fall and will work itself out as the week goes by. Wish me luck, I really want to make this trip.

    Forecast for next Saturday (yeah it's a long way out and subject to change) is calling for 40 degrees and some rain/snow mix. Sounds fishable to me. Good excuse to get out the Gore-Tex.

    Hydro is normally used for peaking demand or to get rid of water. When it warms up in winter or cools down in summer, generation typically moderates. Unless there is a need to move water on downstream.

    The colors that I liked from the color chart were black/yellow; olive/ginger; gold tri olive and white krystal with the red tie. It'll be really interesting to see what the guy who really knows (owner of Zig Jig) sends in the assortment that quillback is getting. This thing is going to be fun. Can't wait to hear about how you nearly sunk your river boat on the 11 point.

    That was my thought too, find some somewhere and get a decent selection without going jack batty over them to start out with. That said I looked for them at three shops in Springfield and one in Branson and nobody had them.

    I'm not planning on falling out. But I've fell out before when I wasn't planning on falling out. Dry clothes are the deal then.

    I'm just glad MU won. Second year in the SEC and playing for the championship will not hurt the recruiting. Featuring DGB against A&M was a good move for that. Give Pinkel some credit for what he thinks about down the road. GO M.U. Tigers!

    I fished Taneycomo today. Tried 2 lb P line flouroclear. That stuff is teeny tiny. Got bit just fine on everything I tried, jig under a float about 8ft deep, baby rainbow countdown rapala, gulp eggs. It looked like most everybody was catching. Guys in one boat that drifted by close were all using weighted san juan worms, they were fishing deeper than me, they said 12 to 14 foot leader. That's real hard to do with spinning gear though and I didn't have a fly rod with me.

    I fry in peanut oil too. It's the best. How about if I make a nice apple crisp to top it off with? And some good coffee.

    woolies with the ends cut on thumb and forefinger when its cold (really cold like below freezing and windy). when its not that cold, bare hands and a dry towel.

    If the weather is not absolutely brutal, I'm in for driving down Saturday morning and staying over.

    ^^ God I hope so. They were so much a part of what it used to be that was so incredible. Judy and Captain will live forever in the memory banks.

    No, it is not. Park Rangers can write a ticket or arrest you for just about anything from murder on down to using the wrong minnow. And yes those bands attract the wrong kind of people. Like me.

    Will there be a place for me to sleep Saturday night if I decide to stay? Also I'll be bringing my new to me Shawnee. Got to get it wet before I wet the bed if you know what I mean.
