  1. Nice bass I wouldn't be able to sleep either lol
  2. i love them i use a 3in smoke and pepper swimming minnow with 3/16 heads just kills them around mill creek and dam area
  3. I know the night bite very well here on the rock, and I use to fish the cape fair tournaments as well as the ones in shellnob I hope to fish a few this year cause the night bite is awesome for me and can produce some monster bass if ya know what your doing.
  4. just anywhere on the bluff side just up from blunks but I have been going about 30min from dark and catching all on purple bettles with 1/16 but the bait has to be thrown right on the bank fished slow bounceing it down really slow with the current and they will thump it every throw. The same thing is working well on beaver and swan or by the pot hole
  5. sorry monday night I caught them every throw for three hours after dark
  6. I have been going everynight, except last night and have been catching them every throw after dark on purple beetles on a 1/16on head fished slow bouncing it along. I havn't been keeping any cause im plumb sick of cleaning them monday night
  7. I also live near bull shoals powersite darn and Just like crappie fishing I love to walleye fish. I am one of the lucky few people who have managed to catch 10 walleye over 10 lbs but I have been fishing for walleye for 10 or 12 years and my advice if you want to catch a hog stay away from the dam and fish from swan creek down the lake to the barker hole. I have not been this year due to a wreck i had back last july but I start fishing for the big pigs in early december through late febuary I dont throw nothing but custom painted rogues but I do know they work. I have left with limits lots of nights on bull shoals and i have left empty handed just as many times I think it has a lot to do with location and presentation and this is the result of many cold nights trying to figure these fish out
  8. If your looking for walleye go at night and throw gohst rogues or table rock shad colors have been working really well along with the ghost x rap
  9. Thanks lilley for the good food and it was nice to get to meat some people and put faces with the messages on the computer.
  10. They are great eating if the red is cut out. Another tip is to cut out the red soak them in 7up over night then cook them the flavor is great and its hard to beat other then crappie or walleye.
  11. Unless your me then they just jump in the boat lol . No in all trueth the fish this time of year are hard to pattern and some times just simply have lock jaw.
  12. all I got yesterday was down their was two crappie and 13 whites was slow the only bite I could find was a smoke and purple swimming minow was really tought just pick one up here or there.
  13. the day time
  14. yep I was just up above the first corner in beaver
  15. Went down yesterday hammered the whites 3 of us caught our limits in about an hour on smoke with purple fleck on 1/8 once but it had to be right on the bottom to get the bite
  16. Went to beaver today tore the whites up me and two buddies caught our limits in about 1 1/2 hours the fish were right on the bottom 4 to 8 feet of water all good size and had one keeper crappie. We had 45 between 3 of us.
  17. when I was their the other day I stuggled to find a deep enough hole that I could get to with my bad knee, but the creek looked good was clear but I dont know since the rain cause friday when i was their it was raining on us off and on but they were hammering it so we just fished through the lightning but when it got completely dark they just shut off like someone flipped a switch I was catching mine on a purple beetle and my brother was catching them on a purple swimming minnow I might go down this afternoon with the boat the other day we were on the bank we just went to see if the whites were their yet or not and they are its the first wave cause they were all males and little sows.
  18. we caught our limits in about 30 min before dark on purple beetals just down from about 500 yrds from slue holler but when it got dark they just shut off. Not much for size small males and small sows
  19. they have already started at beaver creek we caught um just below slue holler right before dark
  20. has any body seen if beaver was muddy or was the water good color wanting to go tomorrow but i hate to drive all the way down their and it be muddy
  21. I will be their for sure about 3 with a good couple bags of crappie for the grease.
  22. Water is good at cape fair was out their today from on1 untill dark and we caught 28 keepers and a bunch of shorts water temp was 39
  23. I don't think they are too big for the rock cause if I can swim a half once jig with a full brush hog as a trailer and catch all sizes of fish from small to big I think it will work just fine
  24. Thats at the marina isn't it I would love to go I will thow in some good ole white flakey crappie meat for the skillet.
  25. when I fished tournaments witch were night tournaments I used flourecent and low vis green and won several of them in a row and had no problem with the line I use I have used floro but I can catch just as many fish as the next guy who has 100$ line on his rod to me its all in bait presentation and rods the rods make a difference for me take for example their are several guides who been fishing around me lately and Im sure they are throwing floro and im spanking them bad because of my presentation I'm not saying floro is junk but I just prefer to use mono cause I just cant justify spending 100 on one spool of line when I can do just as good as pros with out it. Ive got 20 years expeirience here on tablerock and know it like the back of my hand and I have not one problem with catching big fish or numbers with mono.
