wife's not into fishing much, so it's mostly keep momma happy. i thought you guys were calling a small mouth a meanie, but now i know. tried out a fish and ski 18 ft procraft (rental), guess we'll be sticking with the toon. also, JR's(?) restaurant by the bridge in Kimberling city has the BEST fried chicken.

Caught a 12in meany on a Ned rig. on point 10, about 35 ft if water. On the ned rig. Only fished about 2 hours. good day on the lake with my wife.

motor turned off, batt should read 12-12.5 volts motor running should read 14-15 volts. if it's like my motorcycle.

if this weather doesn't break soon, i'm gonna buy some fish sticks and tie them on my rod and fish in the back yard snow.

just received my new rod to day. 3 days including the weekend. packed in a pvc tube with duct tape ends. no reel yet. may have to tie a brick on the rod, just make sure it doesn't float away lol. lightest rod i've ever had.

stopped by my local tackle shop, http://www.bullseyebaitandtackle.com/ and decided to go with the TS1HMB. smoothest reel i've ever held(thanks champ188). as for the rod, looking at about 90 to $120. only one rod for spinner bait and jerk bait. thanks again. P.S. really enjoy the basketball banter. good to see friendly rivalry.

got my tickets. thanks. i agree police and fire should get free healthcare. my number 2 son broke his back while in the navy at the age of 21. the va is taking great care of him. makes it easier to pay my taxes.

ok, i'm gonna try a casting reel. is this a good place to start? LEW'S lazer MG speed spool LS1SHMG LEW'S American hero im6 speed stick. not sure which one. gonna purchase in a coupla weeks. what line should i start with? had one YEARS ago.......cheap...............dismal failure. read old post and see,s everyone(almost) likes the lew's thanks p.s. fishing for bass.
