I'm surprised that the Chiefs haven't grabbed a WR? I guess they have more confidence in what they have than shows. Washington's still available, maybe they'll take him?

Yeah the Chiefs were only 11 and 5 last year with a new program. I'm sure they'll suck this year with more experience. Is your capslock broken? Jus sayin. I was surprised that the Chiefs went defense on the first pick, but with the uncertainty of the linebackers I can see why. There seems to be plenty of WR talent so I'm sure they'll take one or two of them. I did think they might go for O linemen though, that would have been my guess.
  3. I remember the rock garden well, we had to walk the canoe down it and it was slick. I don't remember the level however, but it was low.
  4. Most of the north side of Fellows is open to bank fishing and there is also a road. If you take farm road 66 to the main entrance, where the ramp is, you can drive west from there and access the lake almost to the dam.
  5. If Anderson is successful his past says that he will stay and that should be worth something.
  6. I know, and I don't think the spider rigs what they have in mind.
  7. Jerry I think this is aimed at bank lines and the one license among a crowd sitting on the bank.
  8. Haris the spin cast drags are tough to set because of the line path. The spools in them aren't conducive to having line pulled off to begin with so the end result is that the drag will increase no matter what you do. If you're having trouble I would set the drag light with a lot of line out and then learn to slide your thumb and forefinger to the line outlet and put pressure on the line. Many, and I'm one of them, believe 2 or 3 firm sets on a strike is better than a single hard set.
  9. I'm not sure I understand the 2 jigs comment. I assume you're talking about using 3 poles at once, but if not there is no limit on how many you have on standby. The A rig is a lure and not part of the "pole" regulation.
  10. The mechanical drag will lose as many fish as it will help you catch most of the time. You don't say what kind of reel however. I set my drags light and use hand or thumb to instantly adjust. On a spinning reel keep the anti reverse off and back reel when needed. The drag will still give you protection if the fish moves too fast. It isn't as easy on a baitcaster, but I always keep it as light as possible while still being able to retrieve because I can always increase it with my thumb.
  11. There are some fine looking holes in that stretch. I would imagine that the protection it gets from being remote there are some there.
  12. I've had trees grab my Sammy's a couple of times. So far I've been half lucky, half because they were caught on branches. The other half however is that I throw them on 20/6 braid. I've been able to pull them out of the tree both times. I also like the braid for walking the dog, it floats flat on the water and with no stretch it gives positive motion to the lure.
  13. What do you mean by best sections? You won't find many trout above Bennett now. the Bennett to NRO has lots of good water if there aren't many canoes. The good water starts at the access. The worst frog pond in the stretch leads into NRO.
  14. Either yak would work. If you plan on getting out and fishing the good water, I would, you can spend a lot of time doing that stretch. Gavin, unless it has changed, NRO only charges a $3 vehicle parking fee? You might call them a see if that's still true. If you want to spend all day you might check and see what One Eyed or Corkery charges?
  15. One never knows how a coach in any sport will play the game. The better coaches play the game according to the players available. Time will tell how Anderson will play with what he has. He didn't do too bad in division II and they play a much stronger game in BB then they do in FB.
  16. Why would Anderson have any problems recruiting? He's from Missouri and has been a successful college coach in Missouri?

  18. There will always be coaches who resist putting their teams at risk. It's hard to blame them because all to often the "rankers" don't have the time or the will to check out the competition unless it's a high profile ranked team. I wonder what the schedule would look like if every team had a legitimate power rating and had to play half their games against the higher ranked to be ranked in the polls?
  19. Yup they are a lot of fun. It can also be a way to get in some fun fishing in the heat of summer. Go early and pack it up when it gets hot, no boat or trailer to worry about and they are still easy to find.
  20. Yup.
  21. I would see if I could get someone to take a good look at the wheel in motion if it's one tire.
  22. Yup. It could be a spindle also, but in either case you axle components need some attention.
  23. With the number of games scheduled in BB the only reason there is no longer rivalry is because one or both don't want it. Oklahoma has had a football rivalry with Texas going all the way back and included a period when they weren't in the same conference. If they could do that with 10 games, BB can do it with the 30 or so played today.
