  1. 2004 Champion 21FS. Awesome fish and play boat. Love how the Champion's ride and handle.
  2. Spent a great couple of days on the lake with my Dad. Fished Monday eve, all day tues and Wednesday morning. Targeting walleye. Tough bite. Caught 15 total with 3 keepers. Still new to the fish and trying to figure them out. Caught most trolling cranks with a couple on night crawlers. A few were taken near Orleans trail and a few around Ruark Bluff and a couple across from #5 point on east side. Caught 15-20 largemouth while trolling as well as a few whites. No size to either. Hooked a big old carp on a crawler and thought I had a giant walleye. Big disappointment but a fun 5 minute fight. Decided to bass fish a little the last morning and managed a nice 18" largemouth on a shad colored spinnerbait on the bank in the back of the cove at Orleans Trail. So not much success overall for the hours spent but a couple beautiful days on Stockton with my Pa. Doesn't get any better than that. Would like to be able to do a nice walleye fish fry though. We will keep learnin and searching for 'Em. Tight lines all.
  3. I'm fishing the next 2 days for walleye as well. Fairly new to the lake. Any areas of the lake I ahould concentrate on? Launching out of Orleans Trail but will motor anywhere. Planning on bottom bouncing crawlers. Any tips are appreciated. Will report out as well. Thanks. Great website here.
  4. Great timeThursday in the Gravois Arm. 2 boats 4 fishing. Limit of 60 crappies in 4 hours. Hair jigs with bobbers.
  5. 2004 Champion 21 SX. 300 hp Merc Promax. Thinking about sellin her. Any interested?
  6. I hate wind. Put in at Mutton at 830 AM. Fished main lake points and rocky banks for walleye with crawlers and spinner harness. Nothing but a cople short bass. Gave up on that and fighting the wind out there. Went south to the Greaser creek area and found crappie on structure in 20-22 feet. Only caught 4 keepers. All females with eggs ready to go. Caught a keeper walleye and a couple more short bass. Caught this stuff from about 130-330 pm on jigs. Tough day for us. Talked to 2 boats loading out of Mutton. 1 boat about like us. Another stirctly walleye fishing with crawlers said they had 7 keepers. I hate wind........... Would like to figure out the walleye better if anyone has any advice and tips on areas to focus on. Good fishin to all.................
  7. I feel your pain! See our post.................
  8. First trip to Stockton. Beautiful lake!!! As you all know the wind was really bad out of the south today. 20-30 with gusts even higher. Launched at Cedar Ridge at 10 AM. Water temp at ramp was about 58. Went down Turkey Creek and found 60 degree water. Fished water from the banks out to 20 feet. No crappie to be found anywhere. Caught a nice 17 inch walleye on a smoke colored jig in 8 feet of water. Headed to the High point area again fishing depths from bank to 20 feet with jigs. No crappie to be found. Fished a big cove north of the Cedar Ridge ramp with jigs tipped with night crawlers looking for walleye. Caught 1 nice largemouth bass about 17 inches in about 10 feet of water on a night crawler. Got tired of fighting the wind and not finding the crappie. If anyone has any clue or advice on the crappie please let us know. The crazy weather has everyone confused includng the fish seems like. Talked to several boats at the ramp when we loaded out about 4 pm and they all had a tough day as well......................any other reports out there?? Thanks. This is an awesome website and a great looking lake. Looking forward to another trip in a couple of weeks. Im sure we will miss the crappie spawn on the banks if it ever happens it will surely be fast and furious and over very quickly.
  9. Thank you! Will try the South end first.
  10. New to this site. Looks like some Stockton Lake experienced fishermen on here. Looking for any advice/recommendations on fishing the lake for the first time. Will be fishing next week weather permitting. Looking for crappie, walleye, largemouth. I know it's a crap shoot on water temps but hoping maybe the crappie will be moving in. If anyone has any suggestions on areas to fish for the different species I would really appreciate it. I've heard a lot of great things about the lake and am anxious to see it. Thanks in advance for any help. Oh yea, I think we are launching at Mutton Creek but will go anywhere on the lake.
