  1. Great, Jeremy. Your the fellow I was hoping for. I sent you an email a few days ago. I'm guessing it did not get through. PM sent
  2. [QB]" I especially hate that our society has sunken to the point that people can't simply state an opinion without being mislabeled a "hater" or worse. It's the age of tolerance, where no man shall have an independent thought or opinion, much less speak it. Oh, and while I'm hating, I hate seeing the English language butchered for drama's sake. ...............To root for one is to root against the others, but it's not to hate them. I hate rape, murder, child/spousal abuse, animal abuse, terrorism, etc." [QB] Can I get an AMEN ?!! I'm not picking on the fellow that used the term, but "Hater" is a strong word. I know it is a popular term and that the poster meant no harm or disrespect. It is disappointing that our collective vocabulary has sunk to the point that an entire range of expression is reduced to a single word at the extreme end of the spectrum. I have noticed that the most successfully sponsored professional fisherman are generally the most articulate and have full command of the language.
  3. I have never used these. Do you mind sharing how you fish these baits? Is it trolling, casting? What type gear? Thanks
  4. Good job, QB. You have me learning on the tube.
  5. Nice! That is a healthy looking bass.
  6. I have received the PM's and e-mails, thank you. If you have provided mailing information, your package will be sent soon. I replied only to those that did not include necessary information.
  7. Bill, You are a good man. Thank you for looking out for me. I'm not saying money has no meaning to me, Bill, but I prayed on it for quite some time and have peace doing it this way. I've done a lot of foolish things and the Lord has carried me through it all, so I'm trusting this will work out. I am having fun making some natural color powder paints by crushing and staining Mica and blending it with stock colors. They don't all work, but it is fun to try to match with different skirt strands. I will have some 1/2 oz FB jigs ready soon.
  8. Sorry guys, I forgot to tell you I need you to send me a PM or email with what you want and your mailing contact information. Email is preffered as my PM box gets ful. l my email is MRKSTL82 at Gmail. If you have already done so, thanks Some of you already sent me mailing info but I did not put forum names with the mailing info. I'll do that this time. As far as money - I only accept Enron stock, LOL (I am reading "Conspiracy of Fools"). Seriously, no dinero involved, happy to do it. I will get packages out ASAP.
  9. OK, I will send you some. As long as I am sending a package, let me know if you want any other items. As stated, I am not interested in getting paid, but thank you for the thought. I'm sure you will find some way to pay it forward.
  10. additional jig heads. The bottom picture is 1/2 oz FB jigs that aren't finished yet but I have some made with premium hooks.
  11. UPDATE 3/25/14 : All the Bullet Nose, Wobble Head's & Ringed PT Swimbaits that I had made are gone. I plan to make more in a week or so The following pictured items are available and I am happy to send them. As always, there is no charge but feedback is certainly welcome.
  12. No, I am really just trying to gauge interest and gather intel. I really am not very comfortable suggesting to folks where they should send money. It seems like a great cause though.
  13. Sounds like you really figured them out. Thanks for the report.
  14. Great day and nice report. Thanks for sharing that. It looks like TW is going to get some more of my $ lol
  15. We started at Mill Creek and picked up 8 quick fish, most just short of 15 inches, with the best being Lily's at 4+. Those were all on chunk rock 15-20 ft. Very mushy bite. After a work " break" we ran up on the main lake by Point 21 and picked up 4 keepers on warts casting to about 10 ft off the bank. They all came off some cover like a brush pile. Our friends were working from Baxter towards us and we met them at the mouth of Big Creek at about 1:30. The A-rig fish was almost 8 lbs and came amid a 6 fish, 4 keeper run by counting the rig down only a few seconds in a cedar filled pocket. I was throwing my custom painted PBJ wart and lost it when a fish took it into a tree and wrapped me up. So I came up blank during that run. We had to take care of some other problem and went back to the house. We had just gone back out about 5:00 and were checking our friends progress when he suggested that we try the blade shallow in the dirtier & warmer water. They had called it a day already. I caught a 16+ in LM and then the big one several cast later, that was 8.5 on my analog scale. I'm so darn big that the fish are dwarfed some times, but both were nice. Today, Lily made me fix the clothes dryer while she and a friend went to the Branson Outlet Mall and then I fixed the exhaust manifold on my 1970 IH truck. A haircut and a Tommy Dog were mixed in there somewhere. We did run over to Mill Creek for about an hour this evening. We caught 3 very short ones on a Ned rig. Headed back to the city in the morning but hope to be back late Wednesday, God willing.
  16. On Monday I will post, under another thread, all the jigs and plastics that I have recently made. They will be available to everyone in the usual manner. When we figure out what the CAST event needs I will post that here and folks can donate, or not, as they see fit. Another gorgeous day out there, Maybe we can get out later when our chores are completed. God bless y'all and keep our friend Mitch's family in our prayers.
  17. We did not get to fish all day due to some work interruptions, but it was all good. We stayed in touch with friends and compared notes all day, That allowed us to make adjustments except that I just did not want to throw the A-rig like they did, LOL. Following are pictures of a jig fish caught in Mill Creek, A spinnerbait fish caught in the Kings and an A-rig fish caught in Big Creek. Water temps hovering around 50 degrees.
  18. I seem to remember a few years ago a fellow won it by finding LM and flipping laydowns in shallow dirty water.
  19. Good news. I heard from the regional director who sent some literature. I am told there have been CAST events at TR in the past. "The event partners were the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bass Pro Shops, Big Cedar Lodge, Camp Barnabas, Table Rock Bassmasters, Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation and Western Taney County Fire and Developmental Center of the Ozarks" I reached out to the contact at USACE to see where it currently stands. It costs $3K to put on the event.
  20. We mixed sin some work and play but had, what we feel was a good day for about 6 hours of fishing. We caught 14 bass with 5 keepers (4 of them Lily's), mostly on 1/2 oz football jigs with purple heads and craw colored skirts & trailers. I did catch 2 fish on one of the tubes you sent. Thanks, QB! All our fish came off steep banks in 14-25 ft. Better fish were deepest. Slooow dragging it and then the fish was "just there" on a heavy feel. We visited with friends over dinner and are looking forward to nice weather tomorrow.
  21. Logistical leadership will certainly be needed. I have exchanged emails with Jessica at the main office and hope to get some specific advice on how to proceed. Will advise further as I learn more. Thanks for your thoughts.
  22. I have often marveled at the incredible blessings bestowed on me and my loved ones, for no deserving reason. This mornings sunrise and the excitement to make todays first cast bring this to mind again and also makes me think about a way to share these wonderful blessings. Are any of you interested in working towards having a fishing event for disabled kids, here at TR or Taneycomo, through the C.A.S.T for Kids charity program? Information about the charity and programs can be found here. castforkids.org Phil has graciously given his blessing to allow promoting something like this on this forum and I have reached out to the gentleman who coordinates the event at Stockton. I have also reached out to the national organization for information. I hope to get their advice and benefit from their experience. I would be more than pleased to make and donate whatever jigs and plastic baits I am able to make, for the benefit of such an event. More than anything else, it would require the sacrifice of time and energy, from some of you for this to become a reality. Your thoughts are most welcome.

  24. Mitch or any other STL guys, you are welcome to come use my shop and tools. I have the new ventilation system and the pneumatic 2 color plastic injection rig working well now. The Skunkworks can be a good place to experiment and/or just make what you want.
