  1. Mondo Tackle has some unpainted 1/16 and 1/8 ounce mushroom heads.
  2. Nothing to see here, just move along. The real bite is on at LOZ. Seriously, the bite is ridiculous right now. I've never seen so many bass boats running the lake mid week. Way to stick em, Bill.
  3. It's different color everywhere you run, really odd.
  4. Never threw any topwater, Bill. I will this morning....
  5. Definitely turning, more so in some coves.
  6. Only fished a couple hours this morning, but I had the same results. They were hungry for sure. Beds are everywhere, but the fish in the pockets seemed much more aggressive. Threw a wobblehead, live target craw crank, and the jerker. Everything caught fish.
  7. Well, the fish are horizontal! Great report, looks like a relaxing day. I'll be down Monday, hope they keep moving on up.
  8. And then there is the fun part of bird dogging that coat hanger off every single piece of wood it comes in contact with. Good times.
  9. Well that about covers it. Fishing, pollution, rude folks, baseball, guns, pepper spray, and tazers. Did i leave anything out?
  10. We were on the north side just east of Joe Bald, Bill. But it was probably the same jackwagon.
  11. These types of guys have been around a long time. I can remember fishing with my dad and it was a yearly occurrence to have someone cut us off like that, which led to several confrontations. My Pop was never one to not call someone on their arrogance and stupidity, so he would usually fire up the big motor and cut right in front of them. One time an old boy grabbed a tire iron out of his rod box and trolled over to us until my dad told him to never brandish a weapon that could be taken away and used on him. He backed off and finally left. I don't even get within 500 yards of someone when i see them on a spot, and sure as hell don't get in front of the bank they are fishing. But it happened to my son and I fishing a derby Saturday, dudes come rolling in about 40 yards in front of us in the back of a cut, drop the troller, and start chucking A-rigs at docks in 15 FOW. I just laughed and told my son lets go, there are hundreds of banks that fish the same way on this lake. So on to the next spot we go which ended up being a blessing, because we got on a pretty good bite. I hear you Bill on the green lawns that are springing up at all these folks houses on the lake. That goo is really nasty back in Wolf Pen and Little Wolf Pen hollow, the entire back end is loaded with it. Nitrogen rich run off and septic tank leaching is never good on a lake.
  12. In route with your secret secret double secret greenfish extraction devices, Tim. See you soon. I'll try not to crack into them in the morning.
  13. And then the bite changed.....
  14. Speaking of thorough. I watched Hackney dissect a dock for 20 minutes. He even leaned in between the boat lift and walk way to pitch back in behind it. I usually fish docks pretty good on LOZ, but get lazy down here. Guess I should concentrate on the floatilla's a little more. I just wish more folks would sink brush down here.
  15. That would be my much better half. Her Dad lived across the street from Shaw in Gainesville, so that one was easy. And she likes the way Aaron talks to himself while he is fishing. My vocabulary in the boat would require much more editing.
  16. Now Tim, you know the fish don't eat any drag or swim bait that resembles a mud bug in our drink. Davis just had a freak occurrence.
  17. Snapped a few pictures along the way. I had the same deal going with the Trakker. If I pulled up Martens and KVD individually it would show their location. I found Hackney in a cut and it even had him on the correct side.
  18. Bill will know much more than I do. But I did stop and watch him in Wolf Pen for a bit. He and Mark Davis spent quite a bit of time between Big Creek and Point 9. I think Mike started the day around KC. I watched Hackney for quite a while around my place and Palaniuk. They had two very different patterns working.
  19. No complaints on the spots! Are you at the weigh ins, Tim?
  20. Martens fished a stretch of shore in my cove earlier today. I didn't see him whack any. I hit a windy point this morning and holy Kentuckies!!! They were stacked up like cord wood.
  21. Looks like a few of them are on a plastic bite.
  22. Great fish! I bet a few wrapped boats would like that in the bucket tomorrow morning.
  23. Very cool. I missed the deadline, hopefully they will be back next year. Gonna see who i can observe from a distance.
  24. From the Cape Fair Marina Facebook page: You may have heard the new song that that says "this girl is on fire, well it applies so well to yesterdays Sunday Open bass tournament and we can say "this Rock is on Fire." Table Rock lake is on fire. What I'm about to put down from Sunday's score sheet is just awesome!!! We had twenty five boats along with some of the finest fisherman all fired up and ready to go fishing and the fog was so bad that you couldn't see the fellow you were talking to if you was outside. I finally got the boats out at 9:15 that morning and told the guys that weigh-in time would be changed tp 4:00 p.m. and reminded them that this tournament was a 4 bass limit and the marina cove is off limits and please be careful. I also teased them a bit by offering them $50.00 extra above the big bass pot if anybody could bring in a 9 pound bass today and boy did I think I was going to have to pay up. Remember this is a four bass limit and first place went to the team of Mike Sisco and Alan Muenks with 4 bass that weighed 19.78 pounds. That also got them the big stringer side pot and some good pocket change. Mike was just sick because they were culling 3 and 4 pound bass hunting for that big bass. 2nd place went to Brian Thompson and Talia Smith with 4 bass that weighed 19.68 pounds (you can't much closer to first place then this) 3rd place went to Gary Willis and Anthony Willis with 4 bass that weighed 19.06 pounds. 4th place went to the team of Shawn Freeman and Josh Busby with 4 bass that weighed 18.58 pounds. 5th place and big bass and big bass side pot went to James Kilgore and Robert Siegart with 4 bass that weighed 16.70 pounds. Their big bass weighed 7.90 pounds. 6th place went to Richard Woodard and Cole Baker with 44 bass that weighed 13.08 pounds. Again Awesome!!! We had 4 bass that weighed over 7 pounds and 3 more that went over six pounds. By the way as I told the guys before they took off, the evening before I had weighed an 8.11 pound big bass that a couple of guys brought in. So I am going to extend that extra $50.00 to next week and lower the standard to any bass that weighs over 8 pounds will get the extra pocket money. Oh yes, those guys turned that big girl loose in the marina cove and our cove is off limits guys.
  25. I hope she makes her home in my brushpiles, and invites her friends over often.
