  3. bo, do you use solunar calendars? . I do, they are really accurate most of the time. The calendar for April shows the late night bite being good this week
  4. Joseph ,check your messages
  5. maybe one of these day photobucket will let me access my account, did another quick ttrip yesterday (3/31)from 5pm-7:30pm , found a handful ,but they were very spooky this time, and hard to hook, missed 5 bites on the same jig. Got 3 small lmb to hit a little buzzbait in 4fow. Ended up catching a total of 5 , 2 keepers, a 15" spot, and a 16"largemouth and both bit the jig. All released.Once again it seemed like the later in the day it got, the bite faded with it. Wt was warmer 62. Lots of floaters in the water up the Theodosia arm. Always picking debris off your line gets old in a hurry ! It's setting up to be a good shallow bass bite again this Spring. The flats are flooded now,and there's lots of available cover for them This morning I tried for some white bass , but that never happened
  6. Tuesday I saw a 4lb 4 oz mean mouth caught out of Bull Shoals. you'll be happy to know they let it go
  7. pm sent
  8. Wt 54-59 663.70 and rising 5-7pm I have been eager to get out this week and try for a shallow bite. Found some 59 degree runoff water that had maybe 6" visibility. Second cast I had a keeper largemouth in my hand that bit a jig w/ a custom color skirt that has been putting a lot of fish in my boat the last 2 years.Used a zoom fat albert grub trailer on it. To me it looks like a bluegill or shad , maybe even a crappie to some extent, anyway the bass love it! About a dozen casts later stuck a fat 3+lb lmb. Caught a couple more shorts on the jig after that. Put down that jig and picked up a chatterbait style jig and got 3 keeper spots to bite it. Nice 2lb class size. ALL my bites were in 6' or less. As the sun went away , so did the bite. Everything was put back. (I'll post a pic later)

don't see how you can really label anything as "the best",, unless you have already tried every jig made for midwest finesse on the planet? His jigs are nice and so are everybody else's, But are they the best? there's no such thing imo Just like BASS and FLW they label their "pros" the best bass fisherman in the world, they are good, some of them great, but how do you label someone the best when you have not seen all there is to see?.
  11. this describes last SUnday. Faster retrieves were putting fish in our boat when nobody else around us was getting bit. and a larger 4" bait was getting more bites than the 2-3"
  12. last 1, better make some molds of it and make some more so you can sell some to us ! !
  13. the lunar calendar has the better bite in late afternoon /evening for today , and the next few days. i'm "storming" around the house right now because i cant get out there and throw a single spin after dark for the past 2 nights!! great, now I gotta go hide in the dang closet!! thanks ky3 for the storm alerts!
  14. They're in there saw 2 redneck marlins last year that were caught by accident
  15. these storms are keeping me from going out at night, yesterday was the same way i have some single spins that need to be eaten!
  16. have not heard any new news since the day it happened
  17. Bull is STILL rising from the last rainfall and snow melt any additional flood water is gonna put ,a ton of debris in certain areas of the lake.... again ;( lake level is about the same as this date last year http://bullshoals.uslakes.info/level.asp
  18. had that problem with a tube jig one time, fish would pick it up and hold it , i'd set the hook , no fish. I finally started catching them once I waited for them to actually eat it. They would pick it up, then about 5-7 seconds later they would go ahead and eat it, then I'd set the hook and catch them. Had to wait for that second "tick" after the first bite. Some of them would pick it up and swim away with it , stop, then swallow it, kind of like a gar does. last fall I had some swing and misses with the wobblehead just like you said, I put some crawfish and shad scent on my bait and that solved my problem
  19. Maxima is a great line, I used it until my line supplier quit carrying it when they went to Pline
  20. Dude I know has a guide service in NJ, they fish the shad runs and striper runs, it's a blast!
  21. reminds me of the guy who was trying to grow a new world record bass in his private lake, hand feeds it too I bet,lol would not surprise me if the next world record bass comes from Cuba though I caught my big channel cat out of a small 12/13 acre lake my neighbors owned but anybody who asked permission could fish there. http://www.bassmaster.com/tips/building-world-record-bass#

  23. been there..many years ago the very first time I ever tried a BIG swimbait I was using braid. I rared back and gave it my best hard cast and she went "SNAP!!" line broke,There went my brand new $40 swimbait that had never even touched a drop of water sailing through the air ,and it landed up in the woods somewhere never to be seen again...lesson learned about how to lob instead of cast,,mono instead of braids
