  1. Thanks. Wanted to pick them up before I got to the lake, never know if NAPA is going to have them. They made a 4 stroke in '03?
  2. OK. I can handle that. While your in a giving mood... what spark plugs does my 2003 90 hp Yamaha take?
  3. Ok. You guys got me confused. Here's a pic of the cap that my wife took at the lake today, as I sit at my desk working. It's the white cap in front of the motor.
  4. If I put Permatex on the threads would I be able to back that thing out again? Asking cause there's a bilge pump directly beneath this cover.
  5. If it were actually watertight I wouldn't be writing this. There's an 8" round screw in "deck plate" that accesses a bilge pump in the rear of the center log on my wife's tritoon that leaks. The bilge pump has quit working, but that's another issue that I'll have to deal with this winter. Why you'd cut a hole in a log to start with is beyond me. It looks like the picture below. Are there better ones that don't leak. The one she has has a very small O ring that apparently has failed with age.
  6. You are easy. I took that $50 Curado you sold me, put it on an old Fenwick casting stick, and gave it to the 13 year old, fish crazy, neighbor kid at the lake. The beat up Ambassador and ugly stick he was using is now his catfish pole.
  7. My best bird huntin buddy went through a horrible divorce years ago. I happened to drop in on him one day and he had all his guns loaded in his truck heading to the pawn shop. I bought them all from him right there and slowly sold him back all of them over the next few years...except for the 20 ga Superposed, he let me keep that one. Come to think of it I bought a really nice Miller bred pointer from him at same time. He got the better of me on that one as I fed it and paid vet bills for 7 years, and me and my friend pretty much hunted together all the time. Sorry for the hijack, memories.
  8. That old motor is like new and pops that boat right up. For some reason I never got the hang of starting it, and had to crank on it several times before it caught. I took it to Wrench to swap out a trolling motor and it fired right up for him. For me after I got it cranked initially, it was like starting your new car rest of the weekend. I bet it has the original plugs in it. So to the guy named Zach who just inquired about this boat, you have full disclosure.
  9. That's a bunch of idling around trolling and/or looking at electronics.
  10. Congratulations on all of the above, but from now on it's...."our budget".
  11. Here's their website. I'm sure someone there can answer your questions. https://joebassteamtrail.com/faq/
  12. Good point. Had to look it up. 6 lbs per gallon. 30 gal = 180 lbs.
  13. A Tesla battery pack weighs 1200 lbs, an etec 250 around 400 lbs. that’s a lot of extra wt in your typical 19-20’ bass boat.
  14. Fishes fine in the wind, Ultrex is a game changer, big center rod locker, tons of storage, big live well, excellent fit/finish, 2 10" HB. I shopped for over a year. I don't buy new cars or boats, and I tend to buy the ugliest house in a nice neighborhood. I'll bet you that if I decide to sell it in 10 years, I'll get within $5k of what I paid for it. The guy who bought it new in 2017, and put 94 hours on it in 2 years... is the guy who took the hit.
  15. Last year I bought a 2016 Lund 1875 pro v bass xs. At 60 years of age I believe it will be the last fishing boat I buy. Big front deck, adequate rear deck, rides great. Came with a 200 ETEC, but honestly I think I would have been fine with a 150.
  16. I'm paying up for the 12.99 one. Oh, and yeah...wake boats bad.
  17. Your email address is uca, if that's UCA in Conway, then you really don't need to get out of your back yard. Backwaters of the AR River is where I'd go.
  18. You’ve come to the right place as there is little to no zoning in Hickory Cty. Cuts both ways.
  19. I agree. Fact is, Stockton is better for all species. More of them and much bigger. You should go there.
  20. Yep. Caught 5 channels in 2 short drifts 2 weeks ago, cut shad on a bottom bouncer. Kept 3 that were 2-3 lbs and threw back the bigger two. 15-20' flats near deep water. There are plenty of channels in the lake, but the bigger ones can taste muddy. Neighbor caught a 20 lb flathead same weekend. Now that was tasty.
  21. I consider it an honor when any of mine get hijacked. Look at it like you're "furthering the discussion".
  22. Will, it's a 90...unless it's on a 16' jon boat, you're not going to go that fast. But to Wrench's point concerning 4 strokes, as soon as the new e techs run out, that's all you got, so we're going to have to get used to them.
  23. Water temps 86 to 87 this week, pretty good stain to the lake and they're dropping it fast, 6 to 8" a day, releasing 3100 cfs. Fished early Sunday morning, if I was better at flippin, could have caught a boatload of them in the bushes. The way the lake's dropping that cover will be high and dry in next couple of days. Lots of floaters above P9, so be careful.
  24. I'm suggesting that the quoted price is not legitimate. Even with my limited computer expertise, I'd be wary of opening a file on that site. As to what clothes you should wear, for the next few days I'd recommend t shirt and shorts.
