Had a couple hours to hit a farm pond this morning.... good times with the father in law!

Yeah four pound line two pound leader. Also bad position in reference to the current. They both ran up then turned and shot down into heavy current where i could not wade.

Well we caught fish. . . Didnt set any record on numbers but we dis catch a few. Had some on midge early in morning before i picked up dad and one good take on streamer. Picked up dad and he wanted to throw night crawlers. So that's what we did. Started down by the niangua and dad caught two largies and aome goggle eye right off the bat. Then he caught a rainbow then notjing for two hours so we moved to Suzy hole . He caught two big sucker and three trout i caught six trout and broke off two really nice ones . One was about six pounds id say and the other about four. Using light line cost me this time.

Is ok to try flies with articulation?

Would zone two be the place to throw streamers?

The creek is in excellent condition. The water is perfect level for nymphing and i did manage two fish on a dry. Size twelve olive wooly bugger landed the big fish. Majority of fish were on a double scud rig with a drop shot fished czech style. The drywas a caddis sized 16. Fish were stacked in the riffles right as they dumped off into holes. Multiple fish out of every hole and some gave up five plus fish. Best day ive ever had at crane id say.

Well the rain held off today and boy was it a fantastic day. I caught more fish than I can remember or count and one about 3-pound 18in. Early on the bugger bite was spectacular and then as the afternoon progressed the double scud rig drop shot style was the key.

Headed down tomorrow to see if i cant coerce a trout into hitting a streamer. Trying some New patters i made for crane specifically

Not to mention the fact that they are raising the cost of a daily tag to five bucks next year and the cost of a trout tag to ten, theyare taking in plenty of revenue to manage these amenities easily. I havent ever seen this bridge you guys mentioned but will be going monday to take dad. Im sure its stupid and ineffective. The pool was so much cheaper and closer for us as kids then driving in to Lebanon and there were super cute girls from far aqay lands to meet.... this is saddening lol now my kids wont be able to pickup city girls!

They love those tiny midges down there. Surprised you didnt see any caddis or Dobson flies yet. Ive wasted at least ten hours trying to catch those fish that are keyed in on those stupid midges. Once on a while they will hit a griffiths gnat

That thing was there sundaay as well.. . . Msot enjoyable part og my day were all the comments people made as they passed it.😅

Same friday

So saw a few whites get caught yesterday. None by me. One was caught by fellow member @bwcballer first thing. Then nothing until afternoon . Soem boys in a boat throwing tiny white rooster tails started catching males above taylor just a smidge. They boated about six in hour and half. I caught one fish ....

l im going super early tomorrow so maybe have a shot at a Walter. Ill post picture even if just my hands lol
