Bo, I 've found if you leave the on board charger plugged In over a period of time it will evaporate the water if not maintenance free batteries. If you unplug the charger it will put a drain on the batteries, as the maintenance feature checks the batteries every thirty seconds or so and over a long period will drain the batteries unless you disconnect the charger from the batteries.

Look how healthy thought provocation can be and all the energy it creates. I can see where everything on has worked or at least in our own mind they did!!

I tried that too and had a lot of side mouth hooking in that real thin tissue and in most cases the hook would rotate on its side and in some cases the fish would not get hooked at all, they would simply open their mouth and fall out and be flopping in the boat, if you were lucky enough to get it in that far. Donna, Don' you try that physics test with the shape your thumb is in!!

Quill, Take a pair of pliers and bend the front of the hook to 60 degrees and you will see the difference. With that Ned Rig you are using a floater and will hang level and dragging the bottom it doesn't matter. Do your own physics test, put the hook between your fingers and pull straight up and you will see what I mean, a backward rotation of approximately 90 degrees before forward penetration.I learned this from crappie fishing, losing a lot of fish and lots of shallow mouth hooking.I started using a small rubber band to clock the jig to 90 !degrees and when the bite came it would uncock back to 60 degrees and a lot deeper hook set.You can buy those rubber bands at any medical supply and they simply pop up the line on setting and then I just reset it on the next drop. Works real good for me for all parallel presentations. As you see I have no use for 90 degree hooks!

Very simple!, it's that 90 degree hook, it will back rotate 90degrees before forward penetration.

Fin, what do you think of Sebastian?. I bought a house there in 2007 and have been considering moving there. I got a heck of a deal on it, right at 2000sq.ft. in a gated community. My Sister built a home there very similar and I got it for about half the price of her's. Sure hate to leave the Rock!, but getting where I can't do the things I like to do here.

That minnow in this picture is a Brook Silverside, I've seen them all my life in the streams and lakes around here, they can get up to 4 or 5" long.

You know I read all your reports with great interest and I am so impressed with your prowess and ability to locate and catch fish under all kinds and adverse conditions. You are all truly amazing and loaded with talent and ability. I feel there isn't a one of you that could not compete on the pro trail if you so desired. I extend my prayers to Stacey and his family too. I remember when Stacey first started fishing tournaments back in the mid-70's with the old Poor Boy Bass Assoc., we drew each other out several times and he was a fun guy to fish with. He had buddied, up with Big Jack Farris, who was probably the premier spinner bait fisherman of that time and I am sure he learned a lot from him and others in that circuit, as there were a lot a very good fisherman involved, including Charlie Campbell. Bo and Champ, Your compassion and prayers are so very helpful to those in need and you are both to be commended. I have been over 7 mos. on the bank and no immediate improvement in site. Been through about everything medically available and still back to square # 1. I keep asking myself is it time for a tackle and boat auction?? I think I am down to my last resort, pain pills and traction.

How about golf, Champ?. You guys have multiple of golf courses over there at your disposal. The one thing I found, I couldn't be proficient at both. I marvel and greatly respect you fellows that can. I want to thank you and QB for your nice and consoling words and thoughts and I look forward to meeting you sometime this fall when hopefully everything will get back to normal. Most all of our stringent laws on the water are from activities from Lake of the Ozarks, 30 mph night and etc. Looks like they ran out of room at party cove and they have moved South. Look out for more stringent laws to come Boy's and tighten up your seat belts!!

I think I know who that was in that $70,000. Phoenix, a man and his son. He owns a lot of those large multi unit apartments and a large insurance agency in Springfield. The only thing I can figure, he must have thought someone had left it and was afraid of it getting in a prop.

This almost make's me glad I have had this neck problem and been off the lake since late March. Two procedures scheduled starting the 13th and look out Boy's the Ole Hazbin is going to be back in action, especially for spooning, buzz bait and fin!!

You know what they say Bo, when plan A fails go to plan B, by changing the dynamic 180 degrees.

When the bass are shallow, I go to a different method. I use a keeper rod to lock the jig head solid; however, Nutechlures do make a solid fixed body and head spinnerbaits. I go to an entirely different technique by cranking at different speeds in the shallows, most likely the same way you fish your short arm single spin . Entirely different method when fishing deep.
