  1. There aren't any USGS gauges there. I was going off the gauges in Richwoods. No i don't know what 20,000 cfs looks like as i imagine its different for each stream/river depending on how narrow or wide the waterway maybe. The gauge at Richwoods was showing that it was running 8x the median flow.
  2. Great report and pics yaknar! That really makes me anxious to bust out the ride 115. I just bought it back in December and the anticipation is brutal!
  3. I'm 27 and absolute love the time i get to spend out on the water. I only wish i could spend more. I also love to play pc and console games but tend to do that rarely in the spring and summer. Once the colder parts of fall come in is when i tend to do most of my electronic entertainment. I also do bare bones PC builds during that time as i find it a mostly enjoyable hobby when i cant fish. Me and the wife just had our first child 6 months ago and i hope to get him out on the water with rod and reel in hand as soon as he can handle it! That isn't to say that we wont also enjoy playing some games time to time. I guess its all about moderation when it comes to games as a hobby...the funny thing is i don't feel that way about fishing at all. I find a man or women who squeezes out some fishing time as often as they possibly can to be resourceful!
  4. Welcome to the forums! If you get the chance give the meramec and its tributaries a try.
  5. I attempted to fish mineral fork off F HWY on Wednesday but didn't have to much luck. Caught a couple small largemouth and smallmouth. Spoke with a very nice lady who attended SLU was down on the stream doing an electrolysis for her PHD dissertation which turned out to be the most eventful part of the trip. I gave up fishing to try and help her find her markers she placed last October even after the water was flowing near 20,000 CFS following the storms that rolled through last week.
  6. Thanks for the report and pictures. Those are great looking fish!
  7. What an awesome fish. The lake looks beautiful. I've never had a chance to fish Taneycomo but i hope to real soon!
  8. Awesome pictures and some great catches! Thanks for the report!
  9. This is completely asinine. I wonder what Munzlinger's spin is on this and why they feel this bill will be beneficial? As stated above these groups are volunteers and are not costing the state 1 penny. You'd think that's what would make the bean counters happy but honestly i think the issue is these groups are just more opposition to guys like Munzlinger and he'd prefer if they were silenced and dissolved or prohibited from doing what they do.
  10. I herniated L5/S1 about 10 months ago while in the gym. Prior to that my back has always been healthy and never really ever gave me trouble. Learning to deal with it especially when you've always been blessed with a good back was difficult. The first 2 days I mostly tried to rest (laying on my back) and used cold packs with ibuprofen. After that i always got up to walk as much as possible! Walking and stretching kept me loose in the hamstrings and lower back which helped me a great deal. Sitting for more then 15mins or so was always painful so i just did what i could on my feet and often. fast forward those 10months and i'm almost completely back pain free. I have full range of motion and flexibility. I've gotten back to doing lighter weight deadlifts, front squats( it may not be a good idea to do back squats but each injury and individual is different) etc. i forgot to add that while i was injured i was still able to do pullups which actually worked great since that provided some traction for my back.
  11. Just wanted to give a big shout out to champ188 for hunting down some of the BPS exclusive wiggle warts for me since I had a heck of time getting them in my area. Champs a gentlemen and a scholar if I do say so myself!
  12. Life Aquatic references on OA forums!!! That's awesome!
  13. He's been great in answering all my questions regarding the Ned rig even took the time to send me photos of the heads he makes and how he likes to fish them! A gentlemen and a scholar if i do say so!
  14. I just watched the lost series on Netflix a couple months ago and really enjoyed it.
  15. 1. Breaking Bad 2. Game of Thrones 3. Band of Brothers 4. Bates Motel 5. Better call Saul
  16. I could see a minnow style plastic body working well but I agree with you on working just above grass.
  17. I think if you're fishing remotely similar ( any type of small jig head and small soft plastic body being drug, shook, or swam on or near the bottom) it's being classified as a variation of the Ned. I don't really think that's wrong mind you. I fish lunkercity ribster worms in 3' and 4.5' on small 1/8oz heads all in a similar fashion as many people fish the Ned rig that is so popular on here so is that considered a variation of the Ned in some circles? No doubt the Ned the way it's shown here is a fish catching machine and i do believe that it can catch some large fish as well but is it limited to that particular bait and exact set up?
  18. Very nice! Thanks for the share. I'm envious of that collection!
  19. Welcome to the forums and thanks for your service!
  20. How could i forget Stripes! Uncle Buck is good. If we are going Billy Murray i think my favorite of his would be What About Bob.
  21. Welcome to the forums Tim!
  22. I grew up watching Christmas vacation and absolutely love that movie. Good Fellas is also another great one. How about The Great Outdoors?
  23. I'd say Frailty is worth a mention just because the plot twists which i'm usually a fan of.
  24. The original. The Russel Crow version wasn't bad but i prefer the original.
  25. It originally wasn't supposed to be a comedy. They (Kubrick) actually had plans for a sequel but the script was never completed.
