  3. The Twin Lakes Walleye Club does monthly, sometimes bi-weekly, dissolved oxygen and temperature readings on Bull Shoals and passes that info to us (AGFC) and MDC. They do a great job and the data collected is very interesting. They collected data from 7 locations on 6/17 (Point 4,8,10,11,16,18, and 20). I have posted readies from Point 4 and 20. For Point 4, If you look at the DO (ppm) you will see the highest amount is around 25 feet. That is where the thermocline is likely to start setting up in lower end of Bull Shoals. Now scroll down and look at Bull Shoals Lake Point 20. You will see that the thermocline has yet to develop as well as down lake. Feel free to send me an email and I will send the rest of the readings.
  4. Here is a link to the 2011 National Survey of Fishing, Hunting, & Wildlife-Associated Recreation (FHWAR). It is broken out by state. http://www.census.gov/prod/www/fishing.html
  5. We are starting to see a thermocline on Bull Shoals. The Twin Lakes Walleye club collects dissolved oxygen and temperature readings for AGFC and MDC throughout the year. For Bull Shoals Lake Point 4, If you look at the DO (ppm) you will see the highest amount is around 25 feet. That is where the thermocline is starting to set up for the lower end of Bull Shoals. Now scroll down and look at Bull Shoals Lake Point 20. You will see that the thermocline has yet to develop as well as down lake. Just some interesting data for you all to see.
  6. Rainbow trout have been stocked since the early 80's in Bull Shoals. They used to be stocked at higher number but interest in fishing for them has decreased in the last 10 or so years especially after the area at the dam was closed to fishing. Currently, all the trout stocked in the lake are raised by some of the area docks on Bull Shoals. Jeremy
