  1. They're open!
  2. And BTW , when these pictures were taken the Berrville gage would have been at ~6. It is now 13 and still rising.
  3. Was going stir crazy with all this rain so thought I would get out of the house and check out the river. Marble- water was stained- but not bad. Marshall Ford- I guess the low water bridge is private? There was a gate on the road that I believe goes to the river. Can you park at the pull off before the bridge? I saw a truck there but I also saw no parking signs. Trigger Gap Rockhouse & Rockhouse creek- couldn't cross over Rockhouse creek had to go around because of the flow over the road.
  4. The way the water is rising the gates are going to be open soon- be careful!
  5. I've been watching the gauges as well.... Planned the Buffalo last week - which was washed out..... Really want to hit the Kings when things settle.
  6. Took the yak out and saw Walleye and a couple of schools of stripers from Canebreak Hole to Crane roost bluff.
  7. Thanks for your service. "All gave some, Some gave all" Remembering them this Memorial Day.
  8. There used to be a heavier / visible Sheriff's patrol presence on the lake, but they were focused on boarding boats to check for alcohol (not that isn't a worthy cause). Heck at one time I had a AGFC boat check me at 2:00 at night while running lines. I haven't seen that for a LONG time. It is great to hear that they want people to report violations. Maybe they are trying to justify a more permanent presence on the lake during peak months, because they would never be able to respond in a timely manor unless they are already on the water. I'm avoiding the lake this weekend to avoid some of the problems you mentioned J-Doc.
  9. "No boating" and " no wake" is probably being directed towards the wakeboard boats- especially in PC west of the marina.
  10. I had Burmese pythons when I got out out of high school- 16 ft male and 12 ft female, and they weren't skinny!
  11. I went out with my fly rod yesterday and the Carp spawn is full-on in the back of PC- not very muddy as the creeks that feed the cove clear quickly.
  12. Anyone know of a way to import these into a fish finder or a navionics card?
  13. What part of the river?
  14. This works for me on my iPad. You will need to zoom in. http://gis.agfc.com/touch/
  15. I caught one nice white bass today on war eagle between mill and 50 cent hole. Was only able to fish for an hour or so. So there are some still up the river arms.
  16. I caught about 15 yesterday- five keepers (all females with eggs). Fishing Bobby Garland 2" baby shad mid lake boat dock 10 fow 6-8 ft deep.
  17. Jealous....
  18. I friend / mechanic showed me a trick with the lanyard that I use habitually. Simply make a loop with the end and put my throttle hand through the loop. easy on, easy off. Hopefully Ill never find out how well it works....
  19. I hit the west side of deer island yesterday morning drifting shad- didn't have any luck. Saw a couple of guides trolling the same area but looked like they fwere striking out as well.
  20. I caught one 9lb striper wind drifting shad near the islands. Had it in the boat the first five minutes, then nothing....
  21. Always great information- Thanks!
