  1. BTW... If you dont know who Kent Rollins is.... I just picked up a bunch of stuff from him to have a Kickin Covid-19 party!!!! I'm taking RSVP's now at my place in Mountain Home.. Good Food, Good Friends and Good Fishin! Fear cant motivate us... BUT.... Food, Friends and a Good time..... Can and Should motivate us to have Fellowship, Break bread and Live Life!!!! Bring your Vitamin C and intivirals
  2. NO WAY MAN!!!!!! I'm mean as a snake and spit venom!!!!! Just ask my Friends
  3. I'm going kicking and screaming.... You go first Lets have a Covid-19 fest next year and have a drink to a big nothing.... I'd be very happy to attend and buy the first round!!!!
  4. I gave up on China for any real info. I'm watching Italy... that's got the L strain I believe... The L is more virulent compared to the S strain... We have both here in the states. Watching other countries instead of the US.... because the CDC in the US is useless as far as I'm concerned.. no testing being done ......numbers mean nothing from the US Chain of transmission is Non existent.....which means no control in the US... I think thats the plan....let it run... DJT is a pawn in this as far as I'm concerned and he's not helping the issue with bloviating! Im a fan of his, but sometimes I wish he'd shut up... OTOH H1N1 was at 1000 dead before Obama (Brown Jesus as far as the media is concerned) even peeped a word or did a thing to address the issue... At least DJT halted flights from affected areas within weeks of the shat show... Cant stand the talking heads in the WHO, CDC and those that keep pushing Mortality vs CFR. Its the CFR thats gonna swamp your hospitals and keep your heart attack, or car accident, or ailing parent or whatever from getting treatment that could result n an unnecessary death... COVID-19 may not be the Zombie apocalypse some make it out to be .. but I am fairly certain this is a bigger deal than is being shown... time will tell.....
  5. just consider the language you hear! Mortailty rate is not CFR (Case Fatality Rate) Mortality Rate = death/population Case Fatality Rate (CFR) = death/Infected with COVID-19 Big difference and they seem to be pushing Mortality... I guess to Lull the Sheep maybe???? IDK. I'm skeptical. Check out the port in this video: Somone aint tellin the truth. Media? Govt?
  6. Congrats Grandpa, Pop-Pop, Pappy, Pops...... Something to be proud of !!!!
  7. Might just start another post in general.... Would like to do this on my acreage in Jackson County: An Earth Bag Hobbit type home/inn (AirBNB ) on the bluff overlooking a gorgeous pasture (much like LOTR).... a Mushroom farm (on the 28 acres), Tree Farm and for the care taker - chickens, pigs and cattle on a small Hobbit scale homestead... Market the whole operation on video, YouTube, encourage SME's to contribute and vlog/blog etc.
  8. ... I have a 30 year old timber planting that needs 1/3 of the 10k trees (Red Oak 95%, Walnut 2.75% and Cherry 2.25%) Removed.... Luckily they are red oaks as those are pretty good for innoculating... Have flowing water to soak the logs to force bloom! How long U been growing shrooms man ???? Sure hope my math is right... its been a long day ! Lookin for a shroom man to cut what I mark, cut how I define, drill, inoculate and manage a crap load of mushroom logs (enough to start an outdoorsmans dream business). I've wanted to do this for years on my farm in Jackson County...Whats left of it! BTW - have some experience with growing Shiitake! (great in squirrel and woodcock stew)
  9. I believe they do but on My Suzuki 175... the onboard eprom could be pulled to show the RPM history...helps to see if you "Jumped it" hit the rev limiter ....so you didnt make it go POP/poof/ewww/ouch anyway those rev limits are tracked to show how much/how many times it hit that threshold. when buying used I always look at the report!!!
  10. ..............Anything but password change weekend on 30+ systems and on top of that a bad motherboard on our SQL cluster... this is......it's what I'd rather be trying to troubleshoot
  11. While I sitting here doing work (password change weekend on our servers) I'm not tracking this convo/post so sorry for being scatter brained!.. Are you working on Firewood for fire? OR..... wood for Mushrooms? (IE: inoculating spores) ....Love me some Schiitaki mushrooms!!!
  12. Bet the onboard RPM circuitry/eprom for the motor recorded a spike in RPM .....never good for resale... but looking at the sponsors I'm guessing not a big deal.
  13. The dried goods go into the oven in the jars at 220deg for 90min (for qt jars) when done I just chuck a couple packs into the top then lid them up and crank down the bands. they typically seal but if they dont I use a vacuum sealer with a mason jar wide mouth attachment to seal the lid. Might be over kill but I lost a ton of stuff over the years to have learned the little extra step helps ensure they last longer. At the end of the day those that say dry goods last 2 years in the bag are absolutely right!!!! I just like them in the jars.. they look good in the basement and are actually part of the "functional" decor!
  14. Looks awesome WM! You source your pork/beef locally or raise your own?
  15. I wanna be in your gang!!!! ... You smoke some nice fish on the daily!!!!! Well done!
  16. yup....Squeezin a little mash here and there or maybe combine with some single or 2 or 3 row malt....some hops maybe???? Maybe some 4shots - Heads Hearts and tails and some lawnmower fuel
  17. Well sure... and ....I hate popcorn.... Well to be true it dont like me...Hurts my guts. But the popcorn aint for popcorn necessarily.. Has tons of uses (of which I have many)... I have a grinder (2 actually) and a 3 vessel HERMs Brewery and a special piece of Reflux equipment that I can make hand sanitizer from Denatured of course.
  18. And Mice....They cant eat through glass!
  19. I picked up a 50lb bag of popcorn. Great as is or make your own corn meal or grits. I don’t have a vacuum sealer that’s a good solution too. We had jars on hand so they have bee put to use.
  20. I’ve had bulk get funky. The mason jars are basically a way to make pulling out dinner serving easier than wrestling a 25 or 50 lb bag. We are not canning in the traditional sense. Just taking the pasta, black bean, soup beans, rice and corn and adding a silica packet to the jar. The jars extend the life out to 20-25 years.
  21. Thanks Phil! Just need to get a few more things in order on my place in Mtn Home and will likely advertise the property as a "MC&MYOBB (Man Cave & Make your own Bed and Breakfast) For those that love to fish the White and Norfork and any place they might be willing to drive to from Mtn Home!
  22. Drove home from Mtn Home, left a 9:00 am. Every Walmart parking lot on the way home was full! They were full at times when you would expect to see empty parking lots....People get it!!!! Do you???? If you are behind the curve to get some things to shelter in place.?? Why not? take steps now so you don’t have to shop in times of then chaos, that’s likely too come to a town near you? If you don’t have to go out because of Covid-19 you might want to get busy!....Consider the alternatives! Ok....Give me crap about fear mongering.. I’ve gotten it already!!!. that’s fine good luck to you my friend! Wish you well in any eventuality!!!! For me and mine were just in watch mode.... no stress here!I truly hope you have no stress and are set to weather the possible storm of human panic....even if the epidemiology turns out to be more minimal 😎 The herd can be a bit erratic!
  23. Busy evening.....Lots of soup beans, rice, spaghetti, popcorn... etc. to can with silica packets
  24. Can u pick out the pictures I painted???? 🤓
  25. That’s my plan! Just gotta convince the wife... She wants Colorado.....so.....I’ll go there, but it has to be within spitting distance of the Arkansas river. If we go to Colorado, I’ll likely make this a rental....a MC&CYOBB (ManCave&CookYourOwnBreadandBreakfast) 😉
