    Chicks?

If there is any yard in America that spoils their chickens more than my yard, please step forward. Ours get a daily dose of: Meal worms eaten from the hand. Lap time including scratching their heads, if wanted. Rides on the atv “have 2 that love it”. Let out daily at 6am to roam the 3/4 acre fenced back yard “tho a couple go further”. Sit on our shoulders while we swing. Daily treats brought home from her work. And the list could go on. Every one “ 11 hens, 1 rooster” all have names that match them. Miles for the rooster because the guy can travel in a days time. These things go beyond pets for her. It is her life outside of work, so i feed her addiction. Hate when it does sideways pictures, but out of my control.
  2. This gets beat to death on this site, especially for this tournament. You will never change the minds of the “has beens” here. Are there fish harmed? You bet. But how is that different than a joe blow fun fishing for 8 hours a day, on the exact same days as this tournament, and keeping his legal catch to fry up? Multiply that by the number of joe blows out there daily, and i would bet more fish are harmed from daily fishermen than any tournament. Difference is, tournament guys pay to fish. Others very minimally.

Who else has Christmas lights on their coop? And if you do, do you have a tree with lights in their pen too? Well, my better half does.

    What side of the lake?
  5. Very. One of my morning rituals is to figure out what he has said. Sad thing is, is that after i have spent 30 minutes reading it, my better half keeps saying “what are you saying” and “that doesn’t even make sense” when trying to talk to her about something.
  6. Every Sheriffs department in the state does a free security check on residential or commercial properties if asked. Once every 24 hour period. Typically it is for a short period of time, but if you leave to Florida for 3 months in the winter, and request a security check, it will last 3 months. They are supposed to actually get out and walk the property, but depending on the weather, some just do it from their seat.
  7. Nice mounts guys.

Lots and lots of fish pictures on my phone from that stretch from this year. Im not sure. A few months ago i had a Vision 110 tied on another rod on the deck and watched both coming back in from 20’ or so. The Stunna set in the water different, and almost kicked 180 degrees versus the 110 was about 90 degrees. Hard to say what they do out there full cast distance. I will make a short video my next outing.
  9. That’s awesome. I just like poking fun. Sometimes it works out. Definitely a rarity these days for people to remain married more than 10 years.

I did fish the point west of the ramp as well as that next cove. That first point of where the white and walleye both came from. I did catch one 13” LM around that bend.

Red circle is Cedar Rodge campground ramp. Yellow is the cove. Not to far away. 2nd cove past State Park.
  12. Congrats. But who would want to catch the same trout day after day? 😁
  13. It was just grown up fescue that i brush hogged 3 times a year. I do get bucks coming in, but nothing like years past. I have 3 different bucks the past 2 weeks that only have one side of a rack. Small guts at that.

Here are pictures of a downed tree and brush pile off of a secondary point. Both in 4’ of water. I caught 4 LM between those 2 cover piles. This is what my outing have been looking for. Visible brush in 2 to 8’ of water.

On my trip before this one, i broke one off jerking on the rocks in 6’ of water. As i was tying another one on i seen it on the surface. Curious i dropped the tied one on from 8’ up as it went in probably a foot or so down. I watched it as it slowly rose. It probably took 20 seconds for it to surface.
  18. Oh my. You know if you posted this on a FB page, or any type of fishing/hunting group, you would get eaten alive. The guys here are to nice, but your opinion is yours. I love looking at mounts of any type. I have duck, pheasant, deer, goose. The only one in my house is Jack, a beautiful 130” deer above my entry door. Had him mounted 10 years ago this month, and he is part of our family. I say “hey Jack” every morning when i walk down the stairs.

Quill, I’m a huge jerk bait guy, fish them year round and have several brands, including those more expensive ones. None have caught me more fish than these. Last March on Pomme, i was throwing the Stunna and partner was throwing a Megabass. We pulled into a spot that was loaded with fish. I caught 4 keepers before he hooked his first. After culling twice, mostly me catching, he tied on a Stunna and hammered them. I’m a believer.
  20. Yep, you are just cheap. 😁 We go on one vacation a year, typically somewhere fishing related that is a state or 2 away, costing $1500 or less. My family/buddies go on 2 or 3 a year, countries away, and spend tens of thousands a year. Every single time i think “i could have bought this and that and had it for years”. They just tell me I don’t understand.

    Hernia?

    Them dang kids of yours.
  22. I caught a 21 pound striper below the dam on Texoma when i was 14. If i would have had the money, i would have had that one done at the time, but that is youth speaking. Since i am a 99% bass guy, it would take a 15 or bigger for me to get a repo done. That would be the only species i would consider out of respect and love for bass.
  23. Hey, don’t pick on me.

Has 3 hours to burn, so launched out of Cedar Ridge. Threw the Stunna jerk bait all 3 hours. Caught 4 species of fish again, with LM being the most consistent. Most fish were in the 3’ to 6’ range. Wind, clouds, cool water made for a good morning. All fish came in the back 1/2 of small cuts, most on small points.
  25. It is odd shaped where that wood spreader bar is, or just my eyes? Left side.
