What a cool event. Looks like they have 150 or so vets and only 49 boaters so far. What a great cause and a way to spend a day with someone who has selfishly helped this country. Thanks for the heads up. Will be talking to a few boating buds about this.

When I set out to start the club, my intention was to give the guys that have the smaller aluminum boats "any and all aluminum" who weren't comfortable fishing with/against the big glass boats, and a place they could go and feel at home. This part of the country there are a lot of glass as well as aluminum boats, and mulitple avenues for the glass boat guys to fish against and where they want, but not so for the aluminum guys. We have some great guys that fish with us, a few on this site, and have a few joining this season. If you ever get an aluminum boat, or know someone who does and want to fish, I will send ya info.

No there's not D. We do have a few restrictions tho. Basically same as most clubs/tourneys. Functioning livewell. All coast guard rules "safety equip". Alum. Only boats with nothing over a 150. That's about it

We brought water last year, and will be bringing a variety of soft drinks also this year.

With the mindset that I'm replacing batteries after 2 years no matter what, I just replaced all 3 last week with Energizer from Sams. Good price and after reading reviews online, I'm pretty confident they will do me good til the spring of 2018.

Fished the same areas from 11 til 2 and nothing, not even a bite. Wart, jig with rattle, c-rig..nada.

It's been tough. The wind was relentless yesterday, especially for us guys in aluminum boats. We're not far away from the start of better catching. The "fishing" part is always good. ?

I'm thinking of going over Sat. For the expo also. With the warm weather this week warming our local lakes stained water some, the temptation of fishing may change that.

I fished same place but didn't get launched until 10:45. Fished the shore across the ramp then headed towards Kimberling for a bit. Nothing but chilled fingers. Left at 12:45. Warm weather this week tho. Possible 70's
