  1. Seen KVD was in town again this weekend fishing the Toyota Bonus Bucks tourney on Table Rock. Any of you out fishing this weekend come across any of them? Or fishing in it?

    Absurd

Not a doubter to this post, because there's always someone catching fish when others struggle, usually it's me struggling. But like ST said, my camera would have been capturing those bags. Heck, I take pictures of every fish, even the ones that are smaller than the bait I'm using, so I can show my wife later, and so I can see the times if when they were most active. Good job on the outing.
  3. Well, looks like a 7.16 did the trick.
  4. Your boat Jason? who is your sponsor? Just curious
  5. The 698 is the same unit I lost at the bottom of Stockton Lake recently. Great unit for that price, tho I paid full price early spring.
  6. Welcome back Bill. Haven't watched any of Petes stuff, but i do follow Eric. His reports are tops for giving GREAT free info for local and traveling anglers. Thanks Eric.
  7. Who's boat?
  8. Bass are plentiful. Go left out of Raurk and work the rock bank to the left. If it's windy start with a spinnerbait. If it's calm, try same banks with your favorite soft bait. Been catching a lot on KVD 1.5 square bill also.
  9. Man ST, I wish this was 24 volts. In my price range since my incident Wednesday, but not wanting to add another battery.
  10. Thanks Jim. Yes that is a blessing. It happens faster than a guy could blink an eye. All I remember after pulling back on the throttle was seeing everything go overboard in a flash.
  11. Thanks J. Sending PM
  12. Yes we won and got B.B so overall not a bad day of fishing. Bill even donated his winnings towards a new motor.
  13. Fished a Bass Pro employee tourney today with a buddy and fellow OA member. Man what a great morning with tons of sub-15" fish caught. Around 9am the sky got dark, and the wind really picked up,many so did we with the spinnerbaits. Bam,Bam, and Bam. Limit of fish in the livewell pretty quick. This was a 4 fish limit. The wind had died down so we decided to skip over 200 yards and fish a point. Fire up the motor, take off, and "splash" in the face. Yep forgot to pull the trolling motor up. Pulled back on the throttle and within a blink of an eye, all I seen was the motor, foot pedal, AND my front electronics go into the lake. Yep, you read that right, I lost $1500.00 in the blink of an eye. Bill just looked over at me as I'm sure my face had a very puzzled look to it. Any of us that has put as many hours in a boat as I have over the past 30 years has forgot to pull the trolling motor up at one time. BUT, I doubt many have lost what I did because of a silly mistake. Still not sure in my brain how to handle it. Guess I need to find a good used 24 volt trolling motor to get me by the rest of the year. Sad that I just had this one put on 6 months ago, along with the electronics. Almost lost the RAM mount also, but the way the transducer cable was ran, it stayed but you can see it almost pulled it out.
  14. Good lookin bucks. 2 mornings away.
  15. Boy MO, we are totally opposite. I catch a ton in the lakes with the Ned, and very few if any in the river. The slower I fish it, the more bites I get. Maybe that's my problem with the river is I'm not moving it enough.
  16. Well tried posting photo of it but fails upon trying.
  17. Was reading the back of the package "must have been very bored" and noticed in the paragraph it says equiped with a #4 hook, but looking below, it says a #5. You would think they would have this down by now.
  18. Need a partner?
  19. I like a tube also. Usually fish it with a 1/4 ounce head inserted. So many way to work that bait. Any color usually does well, as long as it's green.
  20. Same here. Camped/fished Stockton the past few days throwing a KVD 1.5 and all but maybe 2 of the over 30 fish caught with the crank came on the rear treble.
  21. Thanks for the info guys. My lack of Taney knowledge is showing. So you mean to tell me that I could have weighed in 5 or those 9" bass I caught? Record weight for fewest pounds in a bass tournament with a 5 fish limit.
  22. Haha. I do pay attention to thread dates...NOT. Never fished the Disney area. Been don there with the jeeps, ATV's, etc. but not fishing. Does it differ from the north end at all?
  23. Agreed, our lakes, du to strain of bass and yearly growth will never get to what it is out west. But, the trout do help the bass in Taney more than the forage have in other area lakes. It's all in the protein.
  24. The only 2 things I've noticed wrong so far is............................The Dodge emblem on the truck and Card. Fan in profile. Besides those small details, everything looks sweet.
