  1. Hey quill, if and when you find a "load" of those, I wouldn't mind having a handful for myself. The best, and by best I mean numbers, size, and confidence has come from mine which didn't have the Orange. I have had a lot of guys fish out of my boat over the years who got pounded when I was throwing that bait. When asked what color that was, none of them had ever heard of a GP in a hard bait. So yes, if you find more than you can store, keep me in mind. Lost my last one on a biggie' on Grand a few months back. Made me sick. I almost jumped into the water after that fish to get my bait.
  2. Caughtt a few yesterday during our tourney on topwater early. Only managed 1 keeper throwing It. Had a few blow ups that didn't connect.
  3. Just seen on the news where a bass boat was circling near Indian Point with no driver. Hope everything goes well.
  4. Just seen on the news where they found a bass boat circling without a driver. This is in the Indian Point area on TR.
  5. Anyone other than myself ever wonder why they put the steering on the opposite side than they do on a vehicle? Anyone have an answer without looking on the web?
  6. Mine is mounted directly to the post.
  7. haha, i made the trip the beginning of April i believe. We caught lots of fish, with a few quality fish thrown in. We almost took off this past friday and stayed the wknd, but we decided to wait for a few weeks. We caught crappie after crappie. We bought a yearly license with plans to go back several times, as well as try a few of the smaller lakes in the area. We go down to Texoma a few times a year, so the license only made sense. We will be headed down there in 2 weeks to fish and visit family. Whenever your ready for Grand, hollar and we will make a day of it.
  8. I understand. Been there several times. It's great you were able to get him out tho.
  9. That's a great day. We put in at Ruark at 2:30 and fished til 5:30 and caught 1 bass and 1 crappie. Hope my tourney there next Sat. Produces more for me than that. But we did stay out of areas I would have normally fished due to having our little guy in the boat with us. Got a few laughs at watching those that only get their boats out twice a year at the ramp tho.
  10. Question just for my own satisfaction, for a just in case scenario. My boat is rated for a 150. I currently have a Merc. 115 on it, but plan on upgrading to a 150 soon. I purchased this boat used from the original owner, who used it less than 10 hours a year, and it never spent a day outside, and condition shows it. He had a dealer service it every year for which I have every receipt that was ever spent. Doing my research on this boat, there have been 2 reports I've found out of the thousands that have a 150 mounted, where their transom cracked due to the heavier weight, they stated. Both boat were using a 6" jack plate also. My my question is, the warranty is out on this boat. With it being rated for a 150, if the transom were to have issues, would my boat insurance cover this?
  11. Also that 96" beam is huge in person. But so is the price tag.
  12. I've looked at, and watched videos of that new 1875, and that thing is sharp. I'm sure the model your getting is also. He wants at least an 18' boat. The Lund is 18' 9" with a Merc. 200. Specs show it pushes an easy 64 GPS. He's currently running a 20' Charger with a Yammie 225, so this Lund will do him right. He's wanting to fish in our club, so I'm pretty sure he will be getting that Lund. He's got a tourney today on Pomme and then taking his boat by Whites for them to give trade in price. Tomorrow he leaves for Norfork for 8 days, so knowing him like I do, if there's a chance at all, he will be hauling that new Lund down to Arkansas.
  13. Well crud RPS. I know being a tiller would be a deal breaker for my buddy. Sharp looking boat tho.
  14. I will pass the word along. I have a buddy that's looking at a new Lund 1875 Pro Bass today at Whites Marine. He mentioned last night that if he doesn't buy it he is going to keep his Charger, and then find a nice used tin boat to buy. If it's listed here I will send him the info.
  15. Hey Hung, where are you located?
  16. No but had 2 buddies there Monday and said they caught some quality fish.
  17. My 40 years of fishing, and 20 years on Stockton has shown that the rain doesn't stop them from needing to find food. You may have to change your pre-rain techniques but the fish can still be caught. Those that struggle don't adjust to the change, or don't know how. Keep fishing before, during, and after a rain and test yourself.
  18. Gumboot, you interested in fishing bass tournaments? If so we have an aluminum only bass club.
  19. Good luck and keep safety in mind.
  20. And Politcal Correctness.
  21. yep Sexy Shad 10xd. Hes a cranking king, so that was his sweet spot. Glad he pulled one out after his last few tourneys.
  22. Alot of depth on the upper end, and very shallow on the lower. With the spawn happening, you can narrow down depths this time of year. Given that, you should focus on that cove on the upper right as it gets fairly shallow, but deep water not far off. The flat off Lakeshore Dr. would be a good area. Without knowing the structure, terrain, weather, it is a guessing game, but you can eliminate a few areas due to the time of year.
