  1. I know they have a right to the lkes too but why do they have too be such moronicidiots?
  2. Tagged on the end of his comment. I pull two of my units but one is in dash.
  3. I didn't try for eyes last week but did find surfacing sandies/whites.....I did fish for crappie with no luck!!
  4. Somehow my comment is IN Fish 24/7s comment
  5. btw nice fish!!
  6. I was amazed at how many don't even know which side to go on when approaching a boat. Ran into this several times last week. On a 4 mile wide lake not so much an issue but a riverine lake like TR it's very important
  7. BTW dtrs5kprs, I got the heads, thanks. If I can dodge tornados Saturday I'm going to try them on Arbuckle Lake, small lake that is sorta a mini TR with HUGE fish (in March a guy LOST a tournament with 44.7# stringer!!) I'll let you know how it works!
  8. I caught many fish on the ned last week also on my GO TO bait 3" swimming minnow by CrappieTown.com, but the fish I caught would win many tourneys at least down here. Best limit would have been 16# average about 12#. Tons of fish 12" at a time!
  9. My 'home lake', Texoma is running 6" over the spillway. Only 4th time over the spillway since impounded in 1940s. Last time we lost tons of big stripers that are just now getting back in lake, hope it doesn't take 35 years to bounce back this time!
  10. you think it might be tough catching trout on a #22 midge with a one weight this week? I intended to fish a morning with you last week but only took one flyrod and broke the tip on the drive up My favorite trout stck too, Orvis Trident TL 5wt. Excuse to get a new Helios2, don't tell the Chief of Staff it's covered by warranty!
  11. Some sacrificed all of our freedoms often taken so lightly
  12. 6 years a Marine and 31 years as an Army civilian and I'm humbled by the out pouring of love and appreciation for the vets.....I was at the Haygoods show in Branson last Saturday night and there was a 92 yo man, veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. The crowd gave him a standing ovation. Made my heart swell!
  13. Love this forum, where else can you learn about topwater bites, tw baits and same sex marriage......however, I'm with Ketchup I'm not into the rainbow coalition scene, oh I've never been accused of being PC
  14. careful, I was running just outside Mill Creek mouth on Thursday and saw a pretty large log floating, only thing I saw in a week of running beteen Indian Point and James River, but it would ruin your day/night at 70 mph
  15. I haven't fished tournaments in 30 years, but Champs comment were true then and now, heads up and remember to learn something from every trip, store it away for later trips. One other thing I might add, never get stuck on a bait. If something doesn't work, move and jab...i.e. keep several rods rigged and chunk and wind....works for a little known bass fisherman named Kevin Van Dam, might work for you too
  16. I spent a week fishing out of Kimberling City area. I caught lots of fish on the PBJ Ned rig which I would not have known about without you guys and gals. My biggest were a 4.77 SM, 2.98 Kentucky, and a 5.16 LM. I caught more 2+ smalljaws than I've caught in my life. A few topwater fish to include my biggest LM. Your lake is gorgeous, I my have to invest in a place here when I retire. Pics of my first smallie and spot, pic of my first LM was all mess up!

  18. I had the same trouble, guess I don't have the "Ned Touch" yet. But tomorrow is another day!
  19. Nice fish, secondary points? Main lake?
  20. I got hooked up on baits. I caught several fish on zara sppok late yesterday, one in the 5 lb class. Started to fish this morning but weather deterred my granddaughter and she was up so watched cartoons instead
  21. Love there's a good topwater bite, thanks!! Used to spend every spring and fall breaks at Holliday Island, love it there
  22. oh and I've got 3 side imaging units on my boat and one in the garage, I'm already a believer in that respect
  23. Thanks, that's pretty much my thought process too on the Talons, so I don't get to retire for an additional 3 months, my wife is balking at my retirement anyway (under-foot sorta thing I think). I also had an issue with being called a cheater when it was simply I was better fisherman than they were. They couldn't stand a snot-nosed 20 something kicking their butts every week. I will check GLAFC out but I don't need to move close to Grand to fish great lakes, I can fish Arbuckle after work, 1/2 dozen 50# stringers last two years, Ray Roberts, Lake Fork, and live on some local lakes that aren't known as well lately but have produced 3 of the last 10 state record largemouths. I'm good there for now.
