If you like catching googleye i have a place for you. Little C and have a blast catching them and they usually are there. It's a fairly small cut, the second one north on the west side of point one. To describe it further, there will be the Treehouse Condos just to your right. You will be just south and slightly east of the Treehouse two sets of docks. Hope my directions are accurate for you. Those little guys are indeed a blast to catch. The only whites i have caught were in the summer in the back of cow creek. That day they were feeding on top and we had a blast. It was hot, fairly slick water and in the evening.

I just follow suggestions and pay attention the weather and water conditions. I have a log of sorts from fishing the rock and other lakes I've been privelaged to fish over the years. I rely on what should work based on my logs. As i get more familiar with table rock i am going to expand the areas i fish. My time over the years has been spent mainly from the dam to the highway 13 bridge. You all are the ones who teach us we just have to pay attention. I learn something each time i go out as the weather and water conditions are constantly changing. Anyway, thanks for all info shared on this site. As i say often, if you see a red/black skeeter zx200 dont be a stranger, I've yet to meet one.

Got down this week, shopped for "stuff" for the condo. We got out the last two days from 0700-1630. Caught them good on the Ned, Michelle kicked me on numbers. I threw a spinner bait, rock crawler and jig. The Rock Crawler was an orange color which they inhaled! We caught two limits on the 19th, one small limit today (20th). Information from a friend put us on unique banks which led to our sucess, thanks Champ. Today there wasn't much wind so i threw a PBJ jig on the same banks just deeper and they were there. We caught spots and small mouths. I stuck a large mouth in Cow creek that was skinny but healthy and should have weighed about 4. It was 3.2 and had a craw in its mouth....the color i was throwing. Yesterday the boat was in 20' and today 27-30'. They didn't move far and the bite was a heavy thud on keepers and a machine gun bite on shorts. It was very interestimg how we could determine just as we set the hook. Thanks to all who post here and i will be back in a couple of weeks. Headed back to Des Moines tomorrow....numerous political campaigners to deal with but this slice of heaven keeps me going. Tight lines and stay safe.

Thanks champ. Michelle and i are headed back down next Monday through the following Monday. Hope the lake is a little calmer. I am afraid we are going to shopping for "stuff" to put her touch on the condo. I will at least treat myself to a new lews tournament spinning reel and new Denali to go with it!!! Thats my kind of decorating. I may end up putting a third Pro Guide in for good measure.

Pete, we watched that from our condo. I was wondering what it was all about.

Amen brother. We fished from sun up to 1030 on 9-7. We got skunked, nothimg. Left for home around noon. Our six hr drive was 7 due to the traffic. Big slow down just south of Springfield, on 44 where you turn on 13 north, Clinton, Harrisonville. Oh well, lesson learned both on the water and the drive home. We agreed to avoid a holiday if at all possible in the future. Weill be back in week and can't wait. Take care.

Got ahead of myself Yesterday, sorry.......we fished today from 0630-1100, then 5p-7p. Learned not to throw the ned close to the bank. The bluegills wouldn't leave it alone. Felt sorry for them when they got air mailed across the boat. A little anxious and was doin a "Roland Martin" hook set on the little fellas. Ended up with one keeper and five shorts (bass). Most came from the ned. Keeper was on a spinnerbait when the wind picked up this afternoon. Gravel banks and the boat was 22-25' fish were about 10-14. I am convinced common sense is not needed when buyimg/driving a boat. It's their lake also but holy cow.....still glad to be here. Stay safe. We stayed in the Indian Point area.

Forgot to mention best banks were gravel, boat in 20' fish were in 5-10 feet. No luck on the bigger chunk rock or around bushes in 2-4'. Tried to fish some secondary points, yea right, never thought a 19' boat with a 112lb minkota could be so small!!!

Got on the water at noon after two new deep cycle batteries (thanks Champ). Fished tell 5 around indian point. Caught four shorts on the ned. Little C caught a 3lb er on a spinner bait and had numerous other hits, knocking slack in the line. If you see us in a red/black skeeter stop and say hi. I'm sure most of you stay off the lake this weekend but we "go when we can". Take care and be safe.

Thanks Champ, got two new ones today.

Thanks for the report. Little C and I made it to the promised land at 0100 this morning. Trolling batteries dead but on the charger now. Hope to be on the water at 0530 in the morning. Even though a busy weekend we will be here thorough noonish Monday. We will report how we do.....ant thoughts on mixing trolling motor batteries? We have three optia blue tops (one new) and i suspect the other two need replaced? ?? Anyway,,, they have pro giude at the marina. Its killing us to loose part of the day...tight lines and be safe!

Good report, thanks. Good fishing the rest of your trip.

Interesting, we are new condo owners at The Village. I wish i was closer so i could let the fishermen who may want to rent our condo also use my slip/hoist. I would just need to park my boat/trailer somewhere to accomplish this. Good info and thanks for sharing. Just thinking of ways to help others. Be safe, good fishing.
