  5. Thanks for the information. It will be my winter project. Mike
  6. Here r a couple of pics. It is supposed to be metalflake silver and maroon. Mike
  7. Thanks Dutch. Regelcoat expensive? Mike
  8. I have an '87 Cajun that i would like to get rid of all the oxidation. Would Championship Marine handle that too? Mike
  9. I agree about the inexperienced boaters. What gets me frustrated is the number of recreational boaters during the summer who are on the main lake or at the mouth of coves and just drift along. Many a time i have come out of a cove or around a bend and there are 4 or 5 boats just drifting in the main lake. Some of the people are actually floating in the water tethered to their boat so it doesn't float away and are clueless that they might pose a problem. My plan this year is to fish more often in the evening until after dark during the summer. By the way, nice pics. any details on the lures? Mike

Looks like a nice ripple and great color on the water. Good pics. Thanks for the update. Mike
  11. Exactly what i was thinking. I am going to try a wacky worm this weekend in the Indian Point area. I'll let you know how it goes. Mike
  12. Not many people post here. You should ask the question about Baxter as a new topic in the regular forum. And be sure to post a report after your fishing trip. Mike
  13. Champ, i wish more people would catch em up in the river arms and release them in Long Creek. It just might increase my chances. lol Mike
  14. Boat traffic? Most points around Indian Point had boats coming from both directions. The extreme back of the coves had their share of boats too. We managed to catch them on cove banks changing from chunk to gravel. No one was fishing those banks so we figured there would be some post spawn fish that didn't make it to the points yet. And the shad were on the banks we fished. We did fish some main lake areas around KC bridge and caught a k am and k km. boat traffic was too much so we headed into coves to fish transition banks.
  15. I had the opportunity to fish with my son this past weekend. Fished Saturday around KC from 6am to 1pm and Sunday around Indian Point from 7am to 10am. WT was 70-72 in both places. Water color was very clear in some coves and great color in others. We caught fish everywhere. I posted a couple of pics here because we caught a variety. Here is a fat spot that came on a spook, a nice SM that hit a crank bait and a walleye that hit a small bone colored crank bait. I also caught a couple of nice SM on the Ned, pbj, 1/8 oz head. Missed a bunch on the spook. It felt like they were knocking it out of the way of a bed. Saw fish on beds and also cruising. Had a keeper LM on a spinner bait but didn't get a picture because action was fast at that time. Boat was sitting in 15 fow most of the time and hits came from 5-10 fow. We were in the maroon rajun cajun with the 150 Johnson if anyone saw us fishing. All in all I'd say spending time with my son, getting my thumb scuffed up from landing fish and no boat trouble makes for a pretty good weekend. Mike

  17. You guys crack me up!! I can just visualize the camera in the tree, rain machine and other contraptions to ward off would be fishermen. lol
  18. I'd start on the flats on the right side up from cricket creek. Then fish the pocket at the end of the bluff. Good luck.
  19. Good luck. Sounds like you are set. Look forward to the fishing report tomorrow. Mike
  20. Rps, thanks. That is the Unit I am looking at too.
  21. Rps which hummingbird model did you get? I'm in the market too and a couple of them have a current rebate. Mike
  22. Nice report. When I have problems on the spro frog I pick up my rod with a zoom horny road. It seems to work for me. Mike
  23. Another success story not only with the Ned but also with family. Awesome pictures!! Thanks for the report. That is what makes this forum so awesome. Mike
  24. bo, I've often wondered if that has any relation to the lack of shallow grass beds. I know that the majority of the lake bottom is rock but we all see areas that you'd normally expect to see grass growing in the water. Mike
  25. Nice Pics. aggressive bites on both the C-rig and the jig? Mike
