Need some insight here.....putting in at shell knob, probably around 11:30 since my partner(my son) has to work till 8....so fish around shell knob or run down to Big M and what to throw, would appreciate any input..if you dont want to say on open forum then maybe pm me if you wish. Oh my monkey butt WP came today...lol

Thanks for the report Bill....spook is an old lure(if its the one im thinking of) we use to use them in saltwater fishing for speckled trout in the grass flats and had a jig tied on the back for a trailer in Florida. Maybe going to shell knob Saturday might try fishing on the other side of the bridge, usually fish the boat ramp side. -

Anything i can learn is a plus..what baits, when , and where, and what patterns to look for..Since most of my fishing was in Florida where you fished banks and had coverage to fish like grass and lilly pads and such this seems like a whole new fishing experience here and a completely different kind of fishing.

What can i say..i was educated in Florida..

We use to catch strippers in Florida..use to troll for them with an 1/8 ounce white jig with a gold hook son hooked into an 8 pounder with a zebco 202 which had 20 pound test line on it..he fought it for like 30 minutes....lol

I was iust around point 15 Wednesday and Thursday in afternoon...Wednesday shad was everywhere and i caught 1 LM about 12 inches..water temp around 69 degrees and fish seemed to be holding in about 15 foot of water. Thursday went up into mouth of James and caught a sun bass i guess thats what there called( looks like a striper but with broken strips)..May go back out Sunday or Monday not sure yet...It's about 22 miles from my house to Bridgeport and about 24 miles to Shell Knob bridge ramp.
