  1. Wow ! I was wandering around the forum and found it. I bet if you went on the "Shocking tour" again there would be giants. You should go again, and write a new one, about how you, and your new friend (Dan Hufferd) had a great time shocking fish. What do you think ?
  2. I love the spoon bite, but I fish bouncers, and crank baits to too. Thank you guys for sharing if you get up around Stockton let me know.
  3. Thank you very much, sounds like there will be some good #'s in a couple years, I fish Stockton a lot and did not want to make the drive if the walleye were few and far between. You can catch them between 14 and 20 inches with the possible but seemingly rare fatty (at least for me) all day if you know were to look. I finally learned how to be a walleye fishing fool, I love it. My goal is to catch them from Stockton every month of the year, if I can make it to Mothers Day I will have done it !
  4. Is there any ?
  5. Great article ! Do you have to be an important Phil Lilley kind of guy to take part in one of these trips ? Thank you for sharing. I love this it is hard to read without being over come... Isa 6:1 - 6:8 For some reason I think I should tell you that I read this to my Sunday school class of squirming kids (5yrs - 11yrs old) who could not seem to sit still during prayer time. I told them when we close our eyes to pray it is like standing before God in his throne room with our praises' and requests'. Prayer time is now very reverent and touching. It is awesome to here a child pray ! Dan Hufferd
  6. I think my son and I will chicken out on the fishing trip today.

How has your luck been ?

I have been working a lot. I have nothing new to tell.

My response is virtually identical. I have heard rumors of deep flat fish.

I as well. The story goes something like this..." I caught these 20 something incher over 45'  of water on a spoon, suspended crank, lipless crank, etc."

I have a couple rocky points I really want to work over, but maybe tomorrow.

  7. The # 9 flicker minnow will go 24 ' but I have not caught much on it, I have done well with the 7
  8. I will be buying these too. It seems like someone posted some success with these last spring. Also I think the tots were less $ than many other cranks. Berkley has some new lipless crank bait for this year. I have to admit I have not explored this technique much. It seems like a guy should be able to slow troll, jig, or cast / retrieve. I bought some I guess I will go back for some tots. Lord will'n my son and I will be on Stockton looking for the big walleye, probably in the cold rain. (look for the video).
  9. Don't want to butt in if I can help let me know.
  10. Buy it on line on Monday save your gas for the weekend fishing trip. I use the local bait store as much as possible.
  11. I will work on it. I just hate some of those guys that jabber the whole time. Thank you very much for the feed back.
  12. It was tough fishing for us, see the time stamp, after that nothing. I guess they had lunch and they were done for a while. It was fun though.
  13. Thanks for the info, I like the spoon too. I have had good fall results with it.
  14. On the opening page of the forum on the upper right click on "Start a new topic". I think kayak fishing should get more attention.
  15. Thank you, I have a youtube channel titled with my name. I hope to make an other one this weekend.
  16. It looks like it was worth it, sounds like a fun trip to me.
  17. About 12 years about I was doing some work on a guys place north of Bolivar, the quail and turkey were everywhere. He put every odd, low and rocky place, any place that would not farm well, in CRP. It made a huge difference for the wildlife and he got paid a little for it.
  18. Man that is awesome ! You are 5 hours from me, but I might have to make the trip.
  19. Very nice, great pictures !
  20. I am probably giving up to much here, but maybe this will help. They are probably on a different pattern by now anyway.
  21. Wow! You guys are catching the ones I keep missing. I just think catching walleye here is great ! Each one is like a treasure.
  22. Awesome, love the chunk rocks for sure ! The same thing will work on table rock.
  23. Thank you , look my name up on you tube, I had the best walleye year so far. I made a couple more videos. That might help folks be more productive. I am starting to learn how to target them on table rock, it has been a long journey, I am not as good at it as some people, but man it is fun. 3 thing that have helped...1 slow while trolling 0.7 - 1.5 max, 2 work depths in the 12 to 25 foot range, 3 they like submerged large rock points as well as flats. There are more things but those for me are the game changers. You will need things to do this, like a trolling flap or kicker motor or whatever will slow the boat, a depthfinder that will show the bottom and the concentration of fish, look at other ways besides just crank baits. While I have caught fish on them there are other more productive ways. It is hard to get a crank bait to 25 feet going 1 mph. I am thankful for what I have learned from others here so I hope this will help someone else.
  24. That is awesome on the muskie catch'n ! Pomme or Fellows lake ? My wife and I tried that a year or so ago but the water was up over 20 feet and we did not know Pomme well. We would like to try again. I thought about renting a boat at fellows lake. My Grandfather and I would occasionally fish there when I was very young. There should be walleye in there too.
