  1. Sorry for the late post. Tim had the hot stick Saturday, working his new found ned, which he is trying in Texas this week on the big ones ! Let's not for get the baby walleye and crappie on the bouncer, they were some little scrappers.
  2. We did some bottom bouncing, spooning and cranking, just pictures no video this time. And some other cool lake pictures.
  3. A little of both, I caught a bunch of bass casting the spoon at a point, the walleye was vertical. Whenever fish are hitting minnows that little spoon works really well ! If I am on the rocks I will throw it if I am in the trees it's vertical.
  4. Doing it now. God has a plan, we don't always understand it, one thing is sure he is always right.
  5. I found one on Indian creek near Neosho Mo years ago that was bright red. It was so red I thought it wasn't real or boiled, it was very alive and hard to catch. Only one I saw ever.
  6. I was fortunate enough to spend the day with my son on Table Rock. He caught his first walleye, and I caught my first logperch ( species identified by Johnsfolly ) . I was a great day. The evening had a really good spoon bite. (not on the video).
  7. Looks like a great day ! Messaging you now.
  8. It looks like he is trying to get his paw print to match the one in the concrete, or maybe he wants his own concrete paiver
  9. Sounds like a great day ! What a great time with your son, thanks for sharing.
  10. Speaking of hitting animals, this one was hit out side of Joplin mo. in 2010...Bear ! http://www.koamtv.com/story/12430565/black-bear-injured-by-vehicle-on-i-44-in-jasper-county-mo-video
  11. I was in the rock creek area today and a couple stopped and asked if I had seen that bear. I did not They said they got a picture, I told them to post it on the forum. Later at the Marina I asked the water patrol, he said the couple had talked to him as well. The bear had to walk right through someones yard to get to the water, I wish I could have seen it
  12. I threw a bass pro jiggy twitch spoon 1/2oz holographic all day in 12 to 20 fow. They tore it up and managed one walleye in that 12 foot range, lots of fun. Those spoons work great on the rock ! I was over 25 fow casting the spoon to the bank then adjusting the drop time the deeper it got. I brought all my spoons home too.
  13. The kid should remember that trip, I hope he realizes how fortunate he is. Great job !
  14. I caught the upper part of a 2 piece rod with a spoon once. 10 FOW I would have went in after it. It is probably in 20 fow now. I hope you get it back.
  15. Yes thanks !
  16. That is good ! one more night at work and I will be there, I will have to shake the dust off the frog toggs.
  17. Last year on Mother's day my wife and I got 2 limits of crappie in about 3 hours we long line trolled a blue tiger #7 flicker shad. We did this several days in a row. I got tired of cleaning crappie so we set a 12" limit. It was great time. Our neighbors loved us, we had enough to share. It is not like that this year.
  18. I tried it Sunday afternoon, with no luck. Last year was really good trolling a crank bait, but not so much for me this year. Things are different on the lake this year. Trolling anything seems slow right now.
  19. I bounced, jigged, nightcrawlered in every way. I caught a couple small bass on a jerk bait.

Yep what ever I had , I have lost it??

  20. Bang ! That is a big-o dude, nice job, I bet it was a blast !
  21. I watched it, and I will give it a whirl. Thanks !
  22. Great pics, thank you for the info. Looks like a good meal !
  23. I never have the knot slip, you need at least 5 wraps on the braid and at least 3 wraps with the leader. Like Panfisher said slobber or use chapstick for lube before cinching it down. I reel my uniknot all the way to the reel. that way I can break off several times. Oh and use fingernail clippers to cut your flouro leader tag as close to the knot as possible, if it catches in the eyes it will be on the leader tag.
  24. Yep double uni. I have tied it on all kinds of stuff. Make sure to wet your line before cinching it down, if not you will compromise the leader, and it will break right below the knot. I tied right to the jig fishing for crappie, I used moss green 10# it worked very well. If I got hung up I just wrapped something around the line and straighten the hook out, or break the hook.
