Finally get a day off this Tuesday and me and a buddy are heading down for our annual fly fishing striper trip. Still looking to hook up on that 15# plus striper on a fly rod have had some smaller ones and some close calls with some big ones but nothing in the boat yet. Will either be fishing out of the dam or lost bride south, but could run o almost any where.
Thanks Jason
We fished big m last night and saw your rig. We had a ton of fish but nothing over three pounds had a buddy that did have one 6 pounds and a couple fours fishing right across the lake from us. Our fish came on shakey head chatter bait and black spinner bait after it got dark
Fished it with my nine and ten year old last night great bait for them no lost baits and they had four or five fish with a ton of missed bites. We where on one spot for 45 minutes
Went yesterday from 2 to 5 out of big m and had the big goose egg for the first time this year fished about half way up owl rock and panther but did see 50 to 51 degrees up the creeks thanks for the report
Love the black lights on the boat it is great to not have wires all over the boat just hit the switch and fish. You can not cast far enough to not see your line it really lights it up.
So last year added blue water LEDs in rub rail, and deck extension.
This year new bilge pumps, new live well pumps, and blue water LEDs on boat trailer.
So what is everyone else doing to try to ease cabin fever. :)
Had one on jerk bait and zero on a rig. Did see where someone had cleaned three bass with one decent one at the dock. Big m 2 to 5 today, may have even got a sunburn.
Here is the deal I own two boats. A Lowe deck boat and a 1992 190sc Champion with a 2001 Mercury 200 EFI. My kids are starting to enjoy more fishing than tubing and my wife suggested that I sell both boats and maybe look at a newer boat. I appreciate all the great advice and again if I am going to spend the money just want something that is going to last 10 plus years. Like Bill said like the option of the warranty and is the reason looking at new or almost new.
Thanks again great information
I guess I was wondering the difference in quality and longevity if I was going to spend the money. Like nitro vs ranger for example. This would be a boat I have for at least the next 10 years.
So thinking about getting a new bass boat close to 20 ft and 200 hp plus just wondering what everyone thought was the best bang for the buck.
Thanks Jason
