    You can see exactly what they've been doing by going to the menu above and clicking Quick Levels. See the Table Rock Dam charts. They aren't shutting the water down even at night - for now. That has to change very soon I'd think because Table Rock is fast approaching 915 feet.

    I was informed today that the gates at Powersite Dam have been fixed for a few weeks........ they did it without lowering the lake. So.... question is why are they running so much water on Taney? I guess you may have to watch Beaver's level to guess when they'll slow it down to the point of leaving it off for a while. Table Rock is plenty low enough.

    They have to drop the lake very soon to fix Powersite. Then I don't think they'll run much water. My guess on the repair is next week. Page break.... I don't see no page break!

    We were dragging the lake in front of the dock and pulled up a bunch of course moss tangled with line. We placed it in the back of the boat. Once back at the dock, I picked up the clump of moss and under it was several hundred bugs, mainly scuds. Just shows us that the lake is in good shape as far as food base. Lots of scuds swimming around the lake.

    Trout Unlimited will hold meetings at Chateau on the Lake the weekend of October 9-10. They are looking for some "fishing buddies" to show them around the upper lake, all wading. We should have some down water by then. Anyone interested send me a PM.

    Did you take these pics, John? Very nice! Rusty is exactly what I thought when I saw the midge. It would be an awesome project to photograph as many midge flies as possible here on Taney... both pupas and adults. I'd have to take picture taking courses and probably get a new camera lens.
