  1. Added to the rules and info when registering... IF YOU DON'T USE REAL WORDS FOR A SCREEN NAME, YOU WILL BE DENIED MEMBERSHIP!! I will not GUESS whether a person registering is a REAL person or a SPAMMER any longer. If you are NOT clear in using a screen name that is YOUR NAME or a PROPER name of some kind, preferably FISHING related, then you're out of luck. No more guessing. People register using their email settings which sometimes are letters and numbers or letters signifying something to you but makes no sense. No more. Spammers are starting to use names and words that make some sense. Then me and Dan are left to send an email asking if you're REAL OR NOT? No more. If you don't register with a name that isn't recognizable to us as a real ANGLER who is interested in FISHING - or HUNTING or something REAL, then you will not be validated - period. No more smut - no more viagra. No more guessing on our part. The responsibility is yours.
  2. Gotta be careful of those gills... one jolt and you've lethally damaged him. I know it's hard to hold and control big trout for a pic. Best thing is to stay in the water, keep the fish in the water and lift the fish for a pic. And I know that always can't be done... not getting on the gentleman... thanks for the pic and thank for releasing it. It is one beautiful rainbow!! And it's a good pic.
  3. Anybody going? Marsha and I will be there....
  4. You might check out upper Bull Shoals... K Dock area.
  5. Come down to our place and you'll see Ospreys and Bald Eagles. More Osprey's than eagles but I've seen both just today on the lake. Lots of blue herons and kingfishers too. http://lilleyslanding.com
  6. Great report!! Thanks.
  7. Looks like generation is about the same everyday... off in am and 1 unit in pm. Both are wadeable. It really is easy wading if you take a boat up to Andy's house and wade the shallow side, even when the water is running. No one does this. You can take a jon and use an anchor and fish the shallow side too. Use the anchor to hold you to fish one area, then move down. Not much midge action which I'm really disappointed in or soft hackles would work. I haven't tried woolies but they may work on the shallow side. You might wade in to Pointe Royale area and try there. Seems to be less crowded.
  8. I had a heck of a time with the internet last night. It's been slow-slow lately - I'm callin' them today Went out after 6. Water was perfect- one unit. Wanted to see if I could catch a brown so white was the color. Saw 3 browns jump as I was fishing the bluff bank from Lookout down. "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="580" height="360"> Didn't measure. Female full of eggs. She fought REAL hard - jumped once. I've seen no problem with the oxygen lately as far as fish not fighting.

  10. That would be what creek I wonder?
  11. Thanks Brian.
  12. So far, only got out between noon and 2:30. Water coming on kicked up too much junk to fish the shallow side so I moved to the bluff and dropped a #14 red zebra under an indicator 24 inches and worked the moving water close to the bank. Only had time for one drift and caught two rainbows- both nice. 13. He's still on the forum... I see him post every once in a while.
  14. Talked to Clint, manager at the hatchery yesterday. He said they've had about a dozen browns move up the ladder to the hatchery so far. That's great news for them... and news that there are more browns moving. Duane said they did good last night fishing the bank from outlet #2 down, landing several browns over 20 inches. They're going again tonight... hopefully they'll have a good report for us in the morning!!
  15. Got out this afternoon for a couple of hours. 4-6 pm. Less than one units running, kinda windy. I love this water for drifting flies on the flats from Andy's House to the flats... and that's what I did. I positioned the boat right up against the shallow bank and casted out. Only fishing 2-2.5 feet of water, set the float at 5 feet and used a tiny split and a PINK San Juan. They loved it. Caught about 10 rainbows on 2 drifts. They liked the sun- didn't do as well in the shade and that time of day I had both on the drift down. Nice rainbows too... turned one real nice one. Here's a couple of vid's. 16. They can trap or kill those otters I believe. Tell 'em to call Quenten.
  17. Oh yea- found several small craw dad's in the rainbows I cleaned today. These were about 1/2 inch long. That's a first for me.
  18. Haven't been rambling... Lots of generation for this time of year. They can do it cause the water temp is low (50) and the DO isn't that bad. The trout weren't catching below the dam on down are strong and fight fairly hard... not winter or springtime hard but not sluggish like they could be. Looks like they're only going to run one tomorrow all day... that's nice fish water if you're in a boat. Wading below the dam, well that's not too bad. You can wade the edges and get out of the big bar below outlet #3. I'd look before you wade out too far- those trout probably will be hugging the banks. Look out for people in camo boat blasting tame Canada Geese tomorrow am... esp a AK renegade and his crew down by Lookout. Tomorrow is opening for goose season and they're thick - right Duane? They've been scouting them the last couple of days. Feathers will be flying. What do you think about the sunshine??? Talked to alot of anglers today including some guides that said fishing was really tough. You saw the stocking boat online yesterday... there's lots of trout. Vince said they were biting their jigs short. Not sure why they bit our night crawlers so well and not others today. But that's fishing. They'll bite better tomorrow... for someone. Hopefully for Brad and the OSU crowd.
  19. We will pray for wisdom and grace.
  20. Had a trip this am. Took Toby and Don from Florida up to catch some trout. Got to the cable and dropped some jigs to start. White, sculpin, sculpin/orange and olive 1/8th caught 6-7 nice rainbows on 4 drifts from the cable to KOA. Not real good though but the rainbows were nice size. Took a pic of the guys in outlet #1. Those poor trout... Duane told me a gal caught a 10 lb rainbow in the outlet a couple of hours after Sappington caught his. Released. We boated down to Fall Creek at 10 am and drifted crawlers to Short Creek. Stayed in the middle and caught 8 to take home and 8 more for fun. Sun is out. Not used to it. Fish didn't mind. Not a huge morning but not bad either. Don caught a rock and this... a piece of roof tin.

  22. Got out this morning. Boated to the dam. Started with jigs and ended with jigs. Sculpin 1/8th first- one drift and caught 2 rainbows, both below Rocking Chair. Second - 1/8th white. Caught a brown at RC and 2 rainbows at the boat ramp. Next - peach 1/8th oz. This time I could see trout picking at it but not eating it so I trimmed the tail. Caught 3- one above RC and 2 below. Nothing above outlet #3. Guides were having a hard time catching anything in the trophy area today- yesterday too. Babler did real well drifting crawlers from Fall Creek down. Nice rainbows too. Wish he'd report... I know - too busy.
  23. They don't come up here much but this time they starting dumping rainbows right where you see it - at the top of our dock. Guys on the dock were excited!
