  1. A friend fished it the other day- water running- out of a boat and threw white jigs and tore them up. 1/16th oz- worked them slow in the holes.
  2. Wal Mart may have them but I honestly don't know.
  3. If you live around Taney, there's a few of us that would be glad to help. Jeremy Hunt, when he's in the area, is a great fly caster and teacher. Brian Shaffer is another and he lives here. I can take a shot at it although I don't have alot of experience teaching. I may make it worse... and there others on OAF that I bet would lend a hand. Stan and Carolyn at River Run may give lessons- not sure.
  4. Also at the top of the Taneycomo forum http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showforum=4 you'll see a topic pinned of the corp generation site. You can see the past 4-5 days of generation and water levels. From that you will see the pattern.
  5. I would have liked to had thrown a small sluggo in the slow pools and when it flattens to the lake. I think it would work- and I love to throw one. Crawdads always good. Take your time and fish the river. We didn't fish any of the flat/lake part- it should be good too. We didn't fish it cause we ran out of time.
  6. Only problem- you won't buy these anywhere. Babler had them special made and didn't order enough. We sold out in a couple of days. He's ordered a bunch more- hopefully will be in soon. If you see him on the water, pull up and ask him for one. He's such a nice guy he may 'rent' you one for an hour.
  7. The rain that missed us the other day may have dropped a bunch of rain in the Buffalo drainage. Check the gages. It may be real good.
  8. I only get out once a summer usually and I go to the swimming bluffs on Table Rock. I anchor off the bluff and try to stay in 40-50 feet of water. I've used the floating light but do better with the submergable lights. Most of the time I get a huge ball of shad within an hour under the light. I've always caught fish- whites, crappie, bass- but it's never 'hot and heavy' fishing. But it's fun and relaxing. I usually try to take a pontoon although I hate to trailer them. Just more room to move around. I used to use a gill net until Quinten told me they were illegal. It was really cool to pull the net up and pluck a shad when I needed one. Now I use a throw net and keep them in a bucket with alittle ice.
  9. glitch... fixed
  10. For you guys who haven't clicked Bill's B&B link - here's his livingroom. You must go visit sometime.
  11. Scud - mink #12 on a 3769 hook. It's a Duff Special.
  12. If anyone does, PLEASE take some pics and post them for us. We have a huge turnover Saturday (every Saturday) and I can't make it.
  13. I try black, then red, then green, then white, then a scud.
  14. Darn- I was hoping you worked with digital video cards/streaming. Thanks.
  15. You guys did good. Micros- 1/125 to 1/256 oz but the real weight is about 1/80th and 1/100th. They are over priced but they do work. Olive, sculpin are the best colors. Pink when the water is running. They are made of puter, not lead and the feathers are supposedly hen hackle, not marabou. They use it sparingly.
  16. We've identified the public ramps on Taney but I don't have a map created- yet.
  17. I am ignorant when it comes to this place. I am a bit familiar with St Louis County Parks, not sure if they are related. I don't want to make light of this issue but first I'd say some of us on this board needs some education. Who runs it? How is it funded? What's its history? I assume the Busch family donated the land. Is there another website or forum where people can talk about Busch Wildlife Area? I don't mind lending time and space on OAF if there's interest.
  18. Very little rain- the front stalled on the Stone Co line and headed south like there was a wall there. Something else. But Table Rock should have gotten enough to rise its level again.
