I fished the lake area at Empire Park out of my Pond Prowler. We threw the sink at them. I caught this one little bass on a fluke. The place just flat looks fishy. We saw a fish swirl on something and then it jumped out of the water like a great white on shark week. My son and I said the some thing in unison. "That was a huge brown trout". We saw another similar deal but it was clearly a big largemouth. Both days were cloudy and they were only generating 30 mega watts or so. I'll give it a go again when I go back down. Pete Can somebody rotate the picture?

Quickest way to catch cats in clear water is chum up a bunch of minnows, gills or perch. Even mid day in hot sun on Tablerock with kids swimming the cats will come right in and start rolling on the small fish. My kids prefer Doritos. Then flop a fluke in and it's on. SIO3 -
Priceless I'd say.

I run a butt up to 203 wrap in foil, beach towel and put it into a cooler. I keep the thermometer in it and it will stay hot for hours that way. I shoot to have my done a few hours early then it has more time if needed. Otherwise it's in the cooler ready to go. I've pulled it out of the cooler 3 hours later and it's still 180 plus. On a side note we whacked em this morning. My son with one.

I'll tell you what. My son and I have been killing it lately with a fluke followed by Ned. If we get a swirl on the fluke and they miss it we toss Ned in. Deadly is all I can say.

My buddy laughed at me for putting a 55 pound thrust troller on it. Then when the wire nuts caught fire I wasn't laughing. Wrench helped me straighten it out though. The thing flat out gets it.

That's where I do most of my fishing in an 8' pond prowler. The ones near the St Louis Metro area get pounded. Saturday I showed up to a small lake nearby and I was in line to put the prowler in.

We have a couple hot dog restaurants here in the St Louis metro. Yesterday I came home for lunch and couldn't stomach another turkey on whole wheat. I rolled the gas grill out a cooked up a couple Ballparks. It was delicious!
