  1. When I fish anything on the swing I want it to sit there where I cast it until the bow in the line pulls it downstream. When stuff tries to "get away" in a stream it always heads downstream. Buggers, streamers and soft hackles I fish all of them the same way. SIO3
  2. darn wrench! Stick to beer from now on.

  5. Gavin is correct. The bigger the bow in your line the more you'll hook. I like the bow in the line downstream of the fly. Gives a cushion to the tight line. I've primarily fly fished for the past 50 years or so but I don't think I'm geeked out. Whatever that means. Pete

  7. Old steakhouse in mountain home in front of Super 8. It's been gone a long time, maybe 20 years ago. One of the first places to sell beer in MH. Throw your peanut shells on the floor. Seems like SWPA used to run water at night and shut it off during the day for us to have free reign back then. I miss McC's pete

  19. I witnessed it at Rim Shoals on the white. Me and Gary Flippin were coming up from the bottom of the CnR area when we saw a commotion near the bank. We motored over and watched several large browns corralling a bunch of stocker rainbows against the bank. Every so often one of the browns would charge in and pick off one the stockers. When it charged in some of the rainbows were so freaked out they jumped out of the water onto the bank to get away. Gary told me he sees that all the time after the stocking truck has been there. Pete
