  1. Dierberg's in Cottleville is loaded with em. Good eatin too.
  2. I thought that's what you meant. That's me, living the American dream in the most dangerous city in america. That kitty wouldn't stand a chance in Hyde Park. SIO3
  3. That's pretty cool! SIO3
  4. I bought the Float n Fly system quite a few ago. It did real well around the dam area of T-rock fro smallies. I bought the "sampler" pack and the jigs with a little blue in them rocked. The last time I used them was with a guide buddy of mine and I left them in his boat when we finished. I rarely fish T-rock anymore when in Branson but I would use the FnF system if I did. I also just cast them out and work them back without the float and they did real well. SIO3
  5. By the way, we are the most dangerous city in the nation. SIO3
  6. "The poor kitty would have to swim the Missouri river to get to you guys though" Well technically he could cross the bike path on the Page Extension. I've heard they're good eatin. SIO3
  7. I have a buddy that has the Keltec and it is nothing but problems. The Walther is a very nice gun. I carry a 642 S&W Airweight with +P ammo. No hassles. SIO3
  8. I remember the old store and Springview. I've been going there since the 60's. Welcome to the forum. SIO3
  9. True dat!! We are in for a projected 6-8 inches here tonight. At least I'll get to shovel the drive tomorrow. But moma will be home too. Time to warm up the jacuzzi!!!!!!! Woohoo!!! SIO3
  10. I know about the gen schedules and graphs, I just enjoy looking at the actual river on the web cam. It'll warm up soon, I hope. SIO3 PS Sorry for hijacking your thread Denjac. Those are typical questions for those trivia night fund raisers.
  11. I just looked at Gene's web cam and the Norfork is shut down. Now get out from behing that computer and go fishing. I might have to come down there next week and give it a go myself. I wish I was close enough to go right now. SIO3
  12. Okay then. Thanks for not making fun of my NC ignorance. I love the smell of power bait in the morning. SIO3
  13. Okay I can't stand it anymore. What the he!! is Newburg cong? Go ahead, call me stupid. SIO3
  14. I fished Sat Jan 15 and Sunday the 16th. Gulls everywhere Saturday all day. I never saw a shad but I caught 4 stout rainbows on a white bugger. Sunday I only saw a couple gulls and I was there fishing in the morning while they ran 2 units. Didn't get a sniff on shad fly or a white bugger. Fishing was just okay but I think it was due to the crowds. It was packed Saturday, temp at 4:30 pm was 56 degrees. If you change flies and areas a lot you caught fish. Scuds, sowbugs and buggers. No real egg or worm bite, at least for me. The shufflers were out in force and they hooted and hollered all day, announcing there skill at snagging fish. Hard to fish when they are 3 and 4 wide right in the middle of the hole. Just have to shake your head and move on. Probably should have gone down past the boat ramp but the gulls kept me up top. SIO3
  15. I have a lot of trout art but only this stamp. I thought I saved all of them over the years but I can't find them.
  16. I would buy a used brand name rod before any of the low end discount products. The low end rods all seem to be too slow. I bought an Orvis outfit for my daughter at the recommendation of a fly shop. What a pile that thing is. Reel is okay but the rod is so slow it's terrible. Try and locate a used Sage VPS which is built on the old RPL blank. They are medium fast and not overly expensive. SIO3
  17. I have a Swiss Army Multi Tool and the best thing I ever I used it for was opening some Micro Brews while camping at Norfork river one night last fall. SIO3
  18. Ibelieve Montauk is open Friday - Monday during CnR. SIO3
  19. I'm sure Dano or Phil will help you. But I kind of like it. I get bent every now and then. Snagged
  20. I like the idea but aluminum is horrible when it drags the bottom. How about the same setup in fiberglass? SIO3
  21. Sorry, I've been having internet service provider problems for a couple days. I'm not sure this will get posted before it times out. We went down Thursday Dec 30th. Weather was perfect, high around 60 and overcast. Water was very low and the place was busy. We started at the cable with no luck. Went to the drop below the island and caught em pretty good there for a while. Worked our way down to the river and caught fish almost everywhere. We mainly used green scuds and swung some soft hackles a bit. We caught a lot of fish with the biggest around 15 inches. I was suprised to see so many people bait fishing right in the open. Dough bait and power bait. I don't think they know the regs or they clearly don't care. They didn't try and hide it at all. Oh, they weren't charging the parking fee either. Great day trip and I'll try and go down again soon. SIO3
  22. Oh Gavin. You guys better bring a saucer of milk and some Little Friskies. SIO3
  23. Thanks for the report guys. I'mm headed that way tomorrow. SIO3
