  1. Unfortunately the pro's represent less than 1% of the fish caught in tournaments. Having a marshall in every boat will never happen at the amateur level, but something needs to change. I still think a unique token given the morning of, a picture of the fish on an official board with said token and polygraphs would work. Come to weigh in, show the weigh master your best 5 in pics on your phone and it gets recorded.
  2. Where ya at Ed?
  3. Great ad.
  4. darn....nice boat. Just a bit outta my range. Going to look at a Champ today.
  5. My wife i similar, if all 4 of us are in the boat fishing and someone gets a nasty tangle we will just throw the rod down and grab another, she usually never spends more than 5 minutes on the worst tangles or backlashes and the rods back in business...and she rarely fishes. Patience of a saint.
  6. I'm fishing the MDA tourney out of Lakeview this weekend, I'll do my best to bring some big ones from the Glaize back down that way
  7. Where is "up that way"
  8. PB2 wasn't off limits to MLF?
  9. Buying a place at LOZ, hoping to close this month. It comes with 2 slips both with 6k lb lifts. I've never had one, I know a tritoon is on one of them. Are the bunks adjustable to fit various hulls, or will I need to get a welder or someone out there to change things to fit my boat?
  10. Our best wasn't good enough, 3.52 sat and 3.45 today. Caught lots of nice fish and probably should have weighed one for the 3lbs even. Got to fish with both my sons so I'm glad they allow the 3 man teams.
  11. Nice meeting you and Mitch today, good luck!
  12. Watching KY3 this morning and that's not what their saying, but I'm rooting for your version! 40's and rain, well, sucks.
  13. Or it will have giants hitting top water, nothing under 5 gets a check and more records will fall. Poor LOZ bass.
  14. Expanded to pay back 35 places every time slot, with the nasty weather I'm thinking anything over 3.5 might have a shot at a check.
  15. Ya, 100% chance of rain Saturday. I'm actually ok with that...when are they correct!
  16. Controversial as it may be...who else is gonna get soaked in hopes of 1 bite worth 70K? We are headed down Thursday. Anybody meeting up anywhere? Tirebiters, Wobbly Boots?
  17. I have narrowed it down to 17 rods for the bash this weekend so I'm no help!
  18. You should design a lure similar to a passafier, with a lip large enough to prevent the fish from swallowing it. Maybe a frisbee with a ned glued to the middle? Or maybe a soccer ball with neds glued to all the black squares...it would be the a-rig of ned rigs catch several at a time! I want royalties.
  19. I'm gonna register once I get there as well. I'm rigged and ready to roll, but honestly if the forecast doesn't improve from the 3" of rain and all day on Sat I might just sit on the dock and crappie fish with a beverage! We will be in the Glaize.
  20. Actually I crossed it in Valley Park tonight and was surprised how good it looked, has it's green color back, not brown and current wasn't terrible. The bar just upstream from the 141 bridge is showing again.
  21. I promise all the Uni / Albright / Alberto knot fans haven't fished the FG knot. Those knots are thicker, and the weak spots in your lines every time, with the FG knot that is not the case I have never had one pull apart at the knot the line always breaks somewhere else. Alberto / Albright broke many times when pulling on a snag, at the knot. YMMV.
  22. Bulky? Lol...it's the thinnest knot you could possibly tie. I hated the knot going through my guides so always kept me leaders shorter, with the FG I tie them 6' long and they last a long time.
  23. It was frustrating (for me) to learn, I actually gave up on it last year and then picked it back up again this spring and it just clicked. You MUST keep the main line TIGHT while wrapping the fluoro, and pull each wrap snug as you go. I have caught at least a hundred fish on the same leader that started at 6' and is now down to 4' from retying lures in the past few months. No issues with 30lb braid to 20lb fluoro flipping jigs and slamming the hook, no giants but several in the 4-5lb class. Was getting rods ready for this weekend and 4 of the 7 I'm taking for bass will have braid on them, 2 of them braid to fluoro.
  24. Over the years I have progressed from the Double Uni, to the Albright and now to the FG knot...I don't see myself ever going back the FG is an amazing know once you learn it!
