  1. Thank you for the report Phil and for ALL the things you do to make this an EXCELLENT site. We are hoping to make a trip down this weekend to do a bit of clean-up at our place....would like to get some fishing in too. Have a GREAT week! Bill
  2. Fishing was very good this past weekend. Water level was fine and very clear. Got most of my hits on a black beetle or Pheasant tail numph. I don't think the rains did much to the bite at all. Have a GREAT trip! Bill
  3. Hey Tim! Thank you for the info! The Pheasant tail nymph and Black Beetle's were the ticket for me. Hooked into a real nice bow in the Catch and Release area Saturday morning. Ended up with a long distance release with that one...but it looked close to 18" or so. Just on the other side of the "F" highway bridge got into some nice one's I could take home for dinner. Will for sure stop by and see you again! Take Care!!! BIll
  4. Really looking forward to this weekend......don't even care so much if it does rain....I'll already be wet! Bill

  10. Thanks for the posts guys! When we get out of these 100+ temps....gonna try the fly on some bass / crappie or whatever bites it here in H'ville. Talk to you soon, Bill
  11. Thanks for the post Phil!! We really miss being down there! I've got a calf tail beetle I've been wanting to try again. Had some success with it last year and was anxious to try it again. Hope you are having a GREAT season!! Blessings! Bill
  12. Hi Everyone! We just lowered the asking price for our place close to Branson. Anyone looking for a place less than 1/2 mile from Taney? Here is a link: http://www.trilakesmls.com/brn/maildoc/A8Y46o2390.html Blessings! Bill
  13. With 8 grandkids now....SDC was our best "bang for buck" option. With money SO tight....mini-golf and Go-Carts...then into the water we go! Blessings! Bill
  14. Have a GREAT day and a Blessed Season!!!! Bill
  15. Thanks for the info..I will remember! Have a safe and fun trip to Alaska...that's on my bucket list too. Tight Lines!!! Bill
  16. Thanks for the report!!! Trying to arrange a trip back down the weekend of the 22nd and want to try some night fishing for the first time. Maybe I'll see you then. Blessings! Bill
  17. Just to add my $0.02.... Got to do some wading on Saturday and got into just a few 15"-18" bows that had some GREAT colors. Wish I'd had a camera. Caught them on a #16 tan scud as well as 1/64 oz white jig. Beautiful day...not too many people on the water and discovered a small hole in my waders. Oh well...no day is perfect! :~} Blessings All! Bill
  18. We'll be down next weekend. If you still have some then...I'll get mine. No boat yet....but it'll fit on my van window no problem!! Bill
  19. I sure do miss Taney!!
  20. Found it....no problem. Thanks!
  21. I'm too new to fly-fishing...not had that problem with Mustads', but I sharpen my hooks anyway. Just a habit I got into years ago. I'll have to check-out Joe's site. I found the 33903's in a size 10 at a flea market and just thought is was a good place for the eyes....so much for the original thought! :~)
  22. You might try a Mustad 33903 kink-shank popper hook. The kink is a GREAT way to mount the eyes in the same place every time and really easy to lock the eyes in tight....plus they're about $7.00 per 100.
  23. Parts of the FCC ruling do include the 900 MHz band which absolutely DOES have a major impact with broadcasters (TV and radio). The broadband ruling, according to many IP providers, will NOT improve or provide the high speed internet access that is touted. Also, the FCC "bought" the 698-700 MHz band to be re-allocated to "government" agencies. Turns out most of the frequency groups were sold to industries for cellular type devices....not much of anything for Homeland Security & Medical. How do I know.....I sell wireless and broadcast gear. I see the industry-wide scramble going on every day. Sorry Thom....in the long run, JD will most likely be proven right. Bill
  24. Hi Everyone, We've got the move completed and now we have the place by Branson on the market. Here's a link to the realtor: http://www.bransonhomesandland.com/ Go to the property search area, type in "Molly Lane" in the street name window to take a look. It's a real nice place, super neighbors, within a couple blocks of Taneycomo, 10 minutes to upper Bull Shoals, 30 minutes to the Trophy area or Table Rock. Close enough to Branson for the shopping-shows & food. Far enough away to miss all the traffic. Deer and Turkey stroll thru the yard almost daily....a great location Please, take a look. Blessings! Bill
