  1. I just sent you an email and text. Check it and let me know if I can help you.
  2. Hi guys and gals. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed my first time fishing on Table Rock.. I was up there for the Tyson Tournament on Saturday. Me and my buddies arrived Wednesday and got in as much fun fishing as we could before Saturday. You have a beautiful lake and we enjoyed meeting a lot of new people. Ma's Café was really great too. We caught a LOT of great fish from the 2nd cast until we left. Caught them on the ned rig, shakey head, jig, senko, split shot, drop shot, jerk bait....just about everything we tried at one time or another. Saturday was tuffer for us, but don't that always seem to happen come tournament day We had a blast and I would love to come back up sometime. Thanks for the great hospitality. I hope all the extra boats didn't ruin anyone's day fishing.
  3. Thanks guys for all the insight and discussion. I appreciate it and have enjoyed hearing the different opinions and ideas. Different things work for different people and I love to hear what works for others. Learn something new all the time!!
  4. You got that right. I the wind was a killer last year. Me and my buddies are staying there too. Have a safe trip!! I hear the #13 bridge has road work on it and is really really narrow right now. Joe
  5. Where you staying? Looks like the usual weather for that tournament...good on days before..front come through Friday night and change everything Good luck! Joe
  6. Thanks. I completely understand about closing the bail by hand each time. I've been using spinning reels a long time and was taught that way at a young age. However, this specific technique is something new for me, and I just wanted to ask about the only issue I have encountered. It really fits into my strengths (finnesse fishing). I really appreciate all the suggestions and knowing it's not an uncommon issue with these rigs. Thanks again. Joe
  7. Hey guys....definitely buy local if you can...but if you can't, I would look at http://www.iguanagrafix.com/ I ordered my numbers from him and got them really fast!! Lots of choices to choose from too. He does a great job and its all one piece application. Easy to install. Just sharing. Joe
  8. Thanks guys. I did consider going braid/flouro because that is the combo I use on ALL my other spinning reels and LOVE it....except in the wind...and that is all we have had here lately. I wanted to give the straight flouro a good shot since it was the suggested line of choice. I'll probably stick with it for a while. Reel size probably is a contributing factor as well. I have a Pfleugar President Limited Edition 6930 on that rod (carbonlite 6'9" ML). Thanks for all the help. Joe
  9. Thanks, I forgot to mention that I am using super glue gel. Maybe I didn't get a few rigged straight enough or something. I've only had it out about 5 trips....and that has resulted in about 5 baits because they last so long. So, maybe I need to get better with the rigging.
  10. Hi guys and gals. My name is Joe and I have been a long time reader, but finally joined. I really got into fishing the Ned rig earlier this year...with lots of success in southern Arkansas btw!!!....thanks to dtrs5kprs (David)!!!! I'm just looking for a little insight into an issue I have had the last couple trips with the ned rig. I have started getting a lot of line twist in my line (6 lb invizx). I know what is causing most of it....because probably 5 out of 10 casts when I get the rig reeled back in, the tail has some how crossed around the hook, or rehooked the bait in a funny position. But most of the time its like someone took that tail and wrapped it back around the bend of the hook...if that makes any sense. I did not notice this the first couple times out with it, but the last 2 trips its been happening a lot. Any ideas what I am doing to cause this. Perhaps I made up a few that I did not get straight enough or did not thread on the hook enough or something. Or is this kinda common, and I just didn't notice it much at first because of all the fish it was catching? Any help would be appreciated.
