This may be a popular observation, but I thought the majority of the fisherman at Friday's weigh in were very complimentary of the lake. Almost all stated the obvious... they needed to find the kicker and most could not. Talked talked about the beauty of the lake, the large number of fish they caught and the many bass species available to catch.
As a novice trying to figure out how to fish Table Rock, I like reviewing the videos. Being able to visually see a specific bait that has been mentioned on the forum is very helpful. A lot of time when I read these detailed posts I have to google the bait mentioned so I know specifically what you are talking about. IMHO, the videos are beneficial for me. Thanks for everything you guys do. I know you all have other things to do.
By 6:30 this morning... there were 3 boats fishing in the cove. There is a tournament out of Ahoys at 8:00am. It will be interesting to se how many boats are in the tournament
Champ,
I just moved to the area a few years ago, but the topic of bed fishing is interesting. Is it legal for organized tournamnent fishermen to fish the beds? If so, aren't you potentially killing off the species? I am not a fisherman, but this has been my suspicion?
Here are some photos. Basically you wrap one end of the chain around the lift crossmember. I use a back corner. Next, attach the other end to the dock itself. Use the two of the adjustable chain links shown to make the chain shorter or longer to get the limit depth you want. If you have more questions let me know.
No, Fred has a marine repair center on the west side of Hwy 13 real close to the Ace Hardware. He does lake calls and if necessary picks up the boat and takes it in. I have had good experiences with Ulrich Marine.
