Nooo I've gotten that good with it I wait for them to open there mouth and the pics tell the rest

Update on snagging fish with livescope been going pretty well only place I can seem to get them though is the mouth 😎😎
-
This is one I will agree with you on but pb2 is a different animal Stockton doenst have the amount of tournennts go out of it in a month what pb2 does in a week and they get more boats Stockton has 3 different places usually old state park, state park and ruark and somtimes rb but all the major tourneys take out of pb2 and alot of 25 to 50 boat events throught the week without release boats this is one where I will say pb2 is way over populated but that is a totally different scenario than stockton

I'm going fishing the next 2 days I'll be sure to stick around the release areas so I have a chance to catch somthing 🙃🤣🤣👍
-
I guess you want me to say sorry because I know somthing about fish behavior and movement? They are very inactive alot of times they do feed in short burst though out the day. I still dont think this would make them easy to snap because they still swim around alot within the school. Yes nick ault has posted video of snagging spoonbill which is perfectly legal but it even take him a bit with a giant hook to snag a 30+ lb spoonbill that isnt moving until I see it happen with bass I dont think it's an issue I'm going to be worried about
-
Fish suspend alot in the fall release area or not they are normally feeding on smaller bait which makes them really hard to catch has nothing to do with the release area
-
Whenever you want it get at me bets always open 👍
-
I'd make a bet with you that we could go try for 2 days and you cant snag 5 ?
-
Spoonbill and blues dont move around near as much and are alot bigger of a target I would be surprised if someone could snag 2 bass in a day from my experience with it
-
Matter a fact I have and until somebody lays out a better plan to change all tournment local and national weigh and release I will continue to take them back to weigh in I'm not arguing that it would be better but it's not possible to do with out marshals and cameras like the major tours have
-
🤣🤣 well I'm not but I can say I will if it will make you sleep better tonight ?
-
I for one have etchis and wouldn't do that. Not saying it will never be done but it wont be done by me and bass are a small target and they move around alot I can barely keep my bait in front of one yet alone snag one and if the release areas are such big deals y do people and my self always catch big ones off of spots every year that aren't even close to release areas because we know what we're looking for and nature brings them along the same path every year not because they were released in an area very few tournaments go out of sons creek why is the fishing so good in there? Why do tournaments get won out of there regularly it's no where close to the release areas ? Same for many other great places on the lake to fish they are no where around these areas we had one of the best spawns I've personally seen last year for all species the lake is better now than I have ever seen it and it's only going to get better
-
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this comment takes the cake. I have a livescope no need to snag when you can see them relating to the bait in real time just find somthing they will eat 👌
-
Yeah that makes scence that if I ate the bass i would stop after my 2 day daily limit like crappie fisherman do right ? They don't still have 400 fillets in there freezer from last year ? Give me a break and as far as the copperheads go yall go for it I already have plenty around my house 🤣🤣🤣. Guess were both beating our heads off a wall here because a lot of us aren't going to what a few select group of people want done . Guys aren't hauling every keeper back to the weigh in just 5 and if this is such a big deal like you think it is why isnt every tournament won in old state park or new st park ? There not the whole lake has a good population of fish. Sorry a few people on here dont like the way tournennts are but we do. Yall keep going for fun nothing wrong with that but I'm going to keep doing what I enjoy also
-
You all do what makes you happy but if they keep having tournaments me and many others will continue to support them. They cant close the lake down there are many places to put in that are not actual ramps. I will not quit fishing or tournament fishing if the lake gets closed. And to the comment of moving the bass around would you rather me take my 5 home every tournament and eat them? They reproduce in those areas so there are more to replenish the catch weigh and release is never going to be an option for local tournennts to much money cheating and liability if someone messes up the weights.

Here's a wild idea how about yall that have problems with this continue to not fish tournennts and go out and have fun. Fishing tournaments are our idea of fun. They haven't pulled the regattas for this area and they are still perfectly legal. The most glaring part about this to me is yall are so worried about people fishing tournennts but are perfectly happy letting the government tell you what to do. I work at a grocery store and there are 10x more people around eachother in there as there is at a fishing tournennt of any size right now. Let people enjoy the lake anyway they choose. Also when you are taking about the fish being relocated yall dont consider that when you take home 15 crappie everytime you go to the lake in the spring. With today's technology and with livescope I can tell you there are plenty of fish in the lake from one end to the other. Dont let this government hoax fill your brains with negativity spend more time on the lake enjoying it how ever you like to do it.

Since when should you tell anyone how to spend there money? If anyone goes into a small club level tournment and thinks they are gonna make money they need to rethink y they are there but I enjoy fishing tournments for the competition and I've met alot of new friends and made some great memories. But telling someone they should go spend their money on other things than tournments is completely ridiculous. This is a free country

I am a tournennt angler I care about the lakes i fish. I have saved countless bass from hooks in their mouth's or worms they are trying to digest I try not the throw my plastics in the lake. I am also looking at this as an outsider to your lake I am from Stockton but when I come to tablerock I catch a ton of Kentucky's prolly 80% they all seem to be between 12 and 17 inch there are some really nice small mouth in your lake I have caught them up to 3 lbs i know there are big largemouth in the lake but I'm usually thrilled to catch a 16 inch fish. Now if your not going to allow tournments to bed fish or complain when they catch fish in July and augest then when do we need to fish winter time? There is tons of money brought to your area due to tournament bass fisherman. Somebody brought up early about there being a 5 dollar fee for lake restocking I think for the bigger tournments that's a great idea. As far as the fish being relocated that is a major problem on every lake because they usually take off by the darn or the biggest ramp on that lake and all the fish from the rivers that tend to be more largemouth get reflected and don't replenish I see that as a problem but you will never see the tournaments take them further than outside the cove they launch in to dump them and there is no way to make them do differently.

I fish Stockton all the time for bass and it never seems to amaze me the way these fish change. Caught fish today from 4ft to 35ft jig worked well and caught the deep fish on a jigging spoon all smaller fish did catch some better keepers on a jig in 15 to 25 ft of water hear there is a good jerk bait and a rig bite I have caught some on the a rig but they were in 20 ft also I'm already ready for spring to come back around again

The tournament is tomorrow I'll be one of the guys chasing the green fish and not deer in the cold weather

I know it's a very conditional lake I tried the spinnerbait in the timber like the BASS guys were doing only catching one keeper in practice. I don't have the kentuckys on my lake like tablerock has I actually enjoy catching them deep but I found very few I looked on the gravel points and in the trees and seen some fish in the trees but they were very picky as I only caught 3 in 4 days. Our tournment looked to be won way up the James which I tried to find some fish past the bridge past cape fair but never found much guess I should have went further .

I fished the joe bass championship I don't post much on the forum usually but I enjoy reading the forum throughout the year. I had a descent first day with 9 1/2 lbs with a limit. Caught those on green pumkin orange finesse jig with a zoom super Chuck trailer green pumpkin. Had 4 in the boat by 10 am then didn't get another bite till 330 ish and caught 2 fish out of marina dock stalls in 35 to 25 ft of water on a drop shot 1 lm 1 ky the ky was a keeper then my buddy broke off a big one in the next stall. Thought that would we a good pattern on Sunday with them calling for slick and sunny. The wind actually seemed to hurt my bite on Saturday so I was excited. Sunday was a different story I had one bite all day and it was a keeper ky caught in 47 ft of water over 80 ft with timber present. Tried the jig on similar areas as day one ( chuncky rock points and bluff ends in 10 to 15 ft of water)and went back and tried the Marina's with no luck. Alll fish caught with in 5 minutes of long creek marina. I get to come down to table rock about 2 times a year and I always seem to catch it when it's tough. I like a tough tournment but it was alot tougher than I expected compaired to how my home lake is fishing. Also had a 3.86 smallie in practice on Friday boy was that fun. Tight lines everyone
-
I tried to find this bite for 2 days and never got it going only got 1 short smallie on the jig and he was in a point in about 12 ft could mark tons of fish in 25 to 35 but they never gave the jig a chance wish I could have had the days you have been having they look fun
