  1. Anyone have a recent water temperature?
  2. Anyone up by LOZ ever have them do any prop work for you? Good or bad experience?
  3. I think the KVD big bass tournament is going on, I would go fish the Shell Knob area. We see alot less tournament boats over there. As far as baits or patterns, it has been about everything right now for us. I like the shallow fish better so that is what we do. Crankbait was pretty good, along with jig bite. Have a swimbait tied on too. Good luck and enjoy the fishing.
  4. These bedding fish were caught on an A-rig?
  5. A certain percentage of the pros are already saying that ffs is spooking some of the fish. Making it harder to get close enough to catch them. If that is the case, the fish population and health could actually improve because we are educating alot more fish. I personally like the idea of a slot limit like some lakes have. This could be a good compromise. It obviously works very well( Lake Fork). Texas is way ahead of everyone else when it comes to protecting and growing bass populations. They are a good example to follow. Just my opinion though.
  6. Livescope is the best thing to ever happen to fishing. I know because I don’t own one and I am a long time bank beater. Well maybe I should say Livescope is the best thing to ever happen to bank fishing. The only downside to me is having to navigate through all the boats sitting out in the middle.
  7. I don’t know if this ok or not, but I have a 36 volt ipilot link Ultrex with mdi transducer I need to sell . 52” shaft. I have it listed in the buy-sell forum. It doesn’t even have any scratches on it.
  8. Ok send me the coordinates where you fish at Big M and I will visit them. I mean I will drop some fish off.
  9. We need to stop the dock fishing talk. There are no fish around docks. They all live out in the middle somewhere.
  10. Sold
  11. Well I guess we will have to agree to disagree and just go with fish caught in deep water just ingest more air than fish caught in shallow water😁
  12. We are talking about small amounts of gases expanding in a fish. When you fizz one only a small amount comes out. The mortality rate for fizzed fish is actually higher than most people think also. You catch a fish out of 15 ft of water- no problem. You catch one out of 50 ft-you got a floater. What is the difference between 15 ft and 50ft? Temperature and pressure. One of these has to cause the bladder to expand. Agree?
  13. You don’t think gases can expand based on pressure?
  14. Think of it like blowing up ballons with heium. The helium is compressed in the tank. You put the balloon on, turn the handle and release some pressure. The small amount of compressed heium comes out and expands in the balloon. Less pressure equals more volume.
  15. Not the case. No air ingestion is necessary. The simple change in pressure allows the gases in the bladder to expand.
  16. Had a good day fishing shallow. Not alot of numbers, but quality fish. 8 keepers 5 shorts. Best 5 a little over 16 lbs. Caught everything in and in front of bushes. Variety of baits, mostly soft plastics, 1 nice one on a jackhammer.
  17. You might want to try to call the Corp office. I was told the park was closed.
  18. Anyone know of any with decent parking? Haven’t been to TR since the high water.
  19. The browns were shallow on the isolated trees, not in the bushes. I tried spinnerbait and weedless swimbait, but got nothing. My wife threw a swim worm and kicked my butt.
  20. The water color is good above hawker point. We put in at crabtree yesterday and fished until 5. Alot of boats out yesterday, so we didn’t run around too much. We didn’t really need to though. Fished the flooded bushes with creature baits and 7” worms. I love catching them in the bushes. We also targeted any isolated trees in 4 to 5 feet of water. They are definitely biting right now.
  21. Thank you
  22. Thank you
  23. Is this ramp useable right now?
