  1. The biggest bag I can ever remember in a tournament was just a hair over 33lbs all caught on a jerkbait way before the rig came out
  2. Hidey ho fellas, To answer 1 of the questions yes Bill Davenport was a hammer back then and Greg Poindexter. They were about the only 2 guys that fished structure back then. But now with all the electronics everyone does it. My best limit weight on Pomme in a tournament was 27lbs 4oz caught them all on a buzzbait April 7 can’t remember the year but it was in late 90’s early 2000
  3. PM me some time I could probably help you out too.
  4. I have the Force, 2 122sv’s, 74sv and livescope. Installed it all myself and works great. Called Russell Marine several times with questions they were more than happy to help
  5. If you call the boys at Russell Marine they will gladly help you with all you need. Great guy more than happy to help. They help me a bunch.
  6. Right on Wrench👍
  7. There are always some fish shallow. There are home fish and schooling fish. Home fish never move and schooling fish do what you read in how to fish for bass magazines. The fishing this last weekend has been pretty bad on most of the lakes that I’ve heard. Truman was on fire and went 👎 this weekend smithville was the same. East wind, clear skies, high pressure and moon up during the day recipe for horrible fishing.
  8. Sounds like a fun trip!! Great job!!
  9. Thanks for letting everyone know. Wish I could be there but have the solo pro championship on Truman. Keep us informed about any others you have going on.
  10. The tin boats?
  11. The Reeves Brothers are having their little derby tomorrow thought I’d just go give it a whirl for the fun of it.
  12. Dutch I’d blame the weather!!
  13. Just got back to the house from dropping my ol’ buddy off. We had a wonderful day! I took him up the river where it would be calm. He’s a little wobbly on his legs these days, but he wanted to stand and fish. It wasn’t just a stellar day but we did catch some fish. I took videos of him and ran the trolling motor remotely from the drivers seat. To day was all about him!! Told him I wasn’t going to fish till he caught one and I’d stay out of his way. I have a video of him catching this fish but says file to big to download. Let me know if there’s another way to get it on here. His birthday was last week just turned 71.
  14. Haven’t fished up that way much. Did fish a Osage Bass Club tournament one spring and caught a 6.50lber on a buzzbait
  15. Oh way up there👍
  16. Probably misspelled
  17. We need to meet up sometime and go chunk a buzzer sometime!! I’ll even drive up to LOZ. Love fishing up there
  18. I was a member of Bolivar Bass Club and we won the( trying to recall) i think it was largest average pound per bass club
  19. I’m trying to remember what year it was. Had to be about those years. I fished the federation’s tournament on Truman Lake out of Osage Bluff

  21. Wrench, it’s amazing to watch!! Back in the day him and John kicked everyone’s butts!! Rod was featured in Bassin times. If you remember the paper that BASS used to put out?
  22. Spent most of the night piecing together electric reels of the man that taught me to fish a buzzbait. Hopefully I can get some video of him catching a few fish. It is mesmerizing to watch him work these reels and land fish. So we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I’m excited to get him back on the water!!!
  23. If you do the math and calculate 17 all together so 17-9= 10 on a buzzbait. Looks like to me you should of stayed with the buzzbait calculation says you should of had 20. Good job Dutch!! Just giving you a hard time!!
  24. Alrighty Dutch!! Way to put that buzzbait to work!!
