ozarksfishin, what's the trick with the 7up. I saw you put the fillets in the cooler full of it. I have always used saltwater which works pretty good but the way you described the 7up in the video it was neat. it was a good video.

I like his show and watch most of them. He seems like a pretty good guy and fisherman. Glad the trip went well the video looked fun.

Geez, when I tuned into this I expected to see a thread about jerk baits and would see some tips from Bill B about it. Just goes to show you what we are dealing with in the US today.

If you try to build on a corp lake you need to understand the private dock requirements. Hard to get one on some of the lakes as is lakefront property. for my money I would build one with a view of Truman and near one of the marinas. Truman is a fishing lake and not full of crazy boaters and jet ski's. Very quiet area and property is reasonable. I have looked at several places there and still some good deals to be had. Headed there for some fishing soon.

We lost my dad ten years ago at 91. He worked until he was 78 and only retired when he could not get a driver's license. After he retired the yard at the family home never looked better. He did not hunt or fish but liked to piddle around and for some reason he and mom got into bingo. Whenever he won some $$ at the church game you would have thought he got a big bonus for working. good memories for sure for a dad who was a great example for all of my brother and me.

Had a fellow in our church retire on friday, happy as a clam at sunday service. Died a couple hours after church that day. Bad part was he did not understand his pension plan and took the highest payout which means his wife got nothing and he never lived to collect. That was in the day you could do that without spousal consent.

that is a surprise. Whenever we have been there the place has been packed. The wife even liked it and she is pretty tough to please. I was in the military so my definition of good food may be a much lower standard than most.

We used to catch them on the bottom fishing for cat fish. Good fighters and eaters. like a giant bluegill.

Never was a scout but my brother was a cub scout. My best friends dad took me hunting, fishing and camping all the time and taught us all about the outdoors. Had friends in scouts that wanted me to join but it did not seem as much fun as what we did with my buddyi's dad. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. None of the men, dad included, did not hunt and fish so I was lucky to get the exposure I did.

We have fished that area and caught goggle eye and smallmouth. Good fighters but not much in the way of size. We stayed at Boiling Springs resort which was a pretty good place.

We shop at BPS on a regular basis and have never had any issues. When I was in the boat market a few years back I looked at all the brands. There are certainly alot of pros and cons with all of them. Also a wide range of prices from affordable to no way shocking. I am an amateur fisherman so i don't need a boat that cost a ton so I bought a tracker from BPS and have been very satisfied. I used to work in retail and no matter how good a company is it will have those who trash it. I don't know Johnny but kudos to him for building a great company and supporting my favorite hobby. The world is full of negative folks so Amboy don't pay attention to them. If BPS didn't do a good job for their customers then they would go out of business. Keep the faith pal and support your employer. Just my two cents worth.

I cut the hooks off and superglued the body to the jig head. works great.

pulled the card on the camera a few days ago and had a lot of pictures. This was the best of all of them.

Went to the Shack in downtown Branson this week for lunch. Ordered the Shackburger and it was huge. Very good burger and had to take almost half of it back to the resort. Pretty good prices too.

Congrats to Megan and the new addition to the family. The article was great but the little one is a blessing. We have been blessed 8 times.

Went to Dana's last time we were in town. The ribs and chicken were ok but I can do better at home. Not as good as Bandana's in STL but ok.
