  1. I use War Eagle Black and red spinners in couple sizes, seem to work great for me. Caught several smallies on it last night.
  2. Great report Don, Thanks again. going tonight to see what I can fight with. Thanks to all for all the infos..
  3. great question, love to hear the answer?
  4. Report. Didnt do very hot friday night. Seemed to just hit anything if you find the fish, but couldnt find the fish. Jig, craw, spinnerbait. Had a lot of hits on the spinner but most just tagged it hard and gone, figured it to be nesters and not eaters.
  5. Thanks Joe, dont think I want to ride around in that kind of downpour... . We will hook up sometime. When I was out today we were around the Indian Point area and for some reason could not find any bass stuck on the beds. Most were empty cept for a few that would cruise around. Seemed weird to me, but maybe the first wave is finished and waiting for the second. What you guys think?
  6. Nice Joe, just got off the water myself. Didnt find bed fish but hooked up with a 4lb smally on a zara. lots of fun.
  7. Just wanted to start a Night Fishing topic. Wondered if anyone had been going. I havent been doing wonderful, dang moss makes it difficult. But have been catching some fish around the kimberling area. Spinnerbaits and some texas rigs in areas where they work. Most fish coming from 8 to 16 foot. Anyone else been out much?
  8. Ok Bill, have to ask. Do you like the jointed reds or the full body better? Sorry to hear about the seat.
  9. Thanks Phil and Bill for the report.
  10. Save the money on goldfish and catch green sunfish. Look them up so that you can identify them. They stay alive a lot longer on the hook and once you find where they are at, easy to catch. I catch them in the backs of pockets lot this time of year, or on shelf rock banks, they love to live under the small shelves.
  11. No Tablerock Craw?? lol. They look nice.
  12. Wackem, give me a ring sometime when you see your going or just want to talk dark fishin. Pm me if you need my number again.
  13. Time and S&M, Not to change the subject, but whats the entry for the AIA? I saw earlier the post of play both tourneys, I wondered if that would be legal. Thanks S&M for making it clear so that someone doesnt get into a mess.
  14. Mines on! Wackem, need to hook up this year some night. Im prefishin this week for friday, should be at the next few millcreek niters for awhile.
  15. greybear, toke my first trip to joplin this weekend. Didnt take a rod but spent a lot of time looking over shoal. Beautiful. I thinking about taking my litter over to float it in june when they get out of school. Any suggestions on where to float and with who? We will be fishing and taking our time, with very unexperieced floaters except for me. Maybe a 4 hour or so long float.
  16. Late is always better than never, thanks
  17. Ok, back to fishing. To those who are better than me, think this pattern would work in Cape Fair? Going tomorrow night somewhere and want to catch a few. Know I can catch some whites but bored with them, time for blacks and have struck out so far. Hate to travel to Baxter but Cape is closer if it might work?
  18. Danny is great, I thought he was still gone...
  19. Not even general area?? Understand. Sounds Like a great day. Thinking of going tomorrow night. Thinking of staying close to home but dont know if the bite will be here. Indian point has been slow for me this weekend, what little time Ive had on the water anyways.
  20. Trambia, I am having a couple issues with my "new to me" '97 ranger. Sounds bout the same. Called a local marine guy I know, he told me to stop buying the cheap gas because it has ethenal content. He stated that the 2strokes do not like it at all. Dont know if anyone else is having or heard of this problem??? I am working on the problem myself, as I have changed plugs, gas filter, gas water seperator filter, added stabil ethenal conditioner.... I am still working on it. He stated that he would look at it after I tried these things, so he didnt have to charge me for simple fixes. I will ask him if he would like more work, if he does I will pm you his number. Hes a great guy and understand hes a gem with marine motors.
  21. I am going to Joplin next weekend with my girlfriend. Was wondering if anyone knew of a small body of water to be fished close to or inside the City? I will have half a day to kill and need something to do. Give me some ideas.
  22. I have a pack and a half left from last year maybe it will make it through the year. Bill thanks for the great report. Glad to hear. Went last night for a few, fishing the points as Don had said. Found lots of fish, most were so small that I couldnt get them hooked. 8 to 10" kentucks. would slam the grub and couldnt hook most of them.
  23. Thanks Don for the info. I will be looking for the blue tank. Im running a maroon and black ranger with the oaf stickers, if you see me and have time stop by and tell me what im doing wrong... . I will be fishing off and on around Point 5 area.
