  1. Yep, we skipped the first event because of the cold and family factors. But we fish most all the Millcreek night events thou the season. Love the lake at night, it is a totally different fishery than daytime. Bright sun makes me itch now when I am fishing. How often do you hear of guys going fishing on the rock with 20lb test on 8 rods and using some of the biggest lures made for bass. It can be a great power fishery sometimes after dark. Guys, love to see anyone come down and try it with us. But be warned, it can get addictive in the dark.

  4. Beck has a Nitro!!!!!!
  5. Mohog, he is right. Call the resort for info. I know they fished last night before the storm. 13lb won it. Talked like the night bite was very very slow, most fish caught before dark.
  6. Best we have found is ice blue swimming minnows, also try blue thunder (blue back pearl belly) purple and that smoke back with pearl belly. depends on where you go and the water clarity. Change often, sometimes its sunny and they want one, few clouds come over and the color will change in seconds.
  7. Im in. I have a wild hog hunt the wends and thursday before. If I can get it worked out will bring a smoked ham or something.
  8. With both you too. Had the same happen to me. gets so old. Thinking of going tomorrow in the rain. On a rainy monday should be far less people around.
  9. Crossroads would be the only place I know this late or early in the morning. I have 3 dozen that im going to be using but had to get them by 12 today from table rock tackle.
  10. Lilley, did we ever set the date for the fish fry?
  11. I use a lot of texas rigs at night. I personally dont think it attracts the bass much to the bait. I do believe it makes them hold on to it for a few seconds longer after they take it. Have seen nights where a friend was getting hit but could not hook up. After a fresh plastic and a little spray of scent, he was doing fine. One swam around with it for awhile as my partner was "confused" which is what we call it when one takes the bait and swims at you and u dont realize what is going on for a few seconds. I believe before he switched they were sucking it in and spitting it right back out, by the time he felt it and swung, it was out of their mouths.
  12. he is correct. I hit it last monday. Lucky I was easing along and hit it where it was still kinda deep. dinged my lower and prop a little but no true harm. Scared my partner half to death. Was probably going 15. LOL.
  13. I once went with some guys that swore by hard heads. It was 48 degrees as the sun went down and we got to bull creek. we waded out with a seine in JEANS, found about two dozen 4" to 8" and headed to powersite. Toke forever to dry out by a big campfire, stayed out there till 2am. One keeper walleye. LOL>. Just a story. So I understand that they work, but was just curious about something "easier" to find. If I get time to take off after them, probably take a dozen of each and let you guys now how it goes.
  14. Ok guys, got a question. Everyone says minnows for walleye which I understand. But was thinking of trying shiners. Anyone have any experience with shiners for them? Just thought it would be a bigger meal for them and more attractive. Or am I over thinking it and just use what has been stated? Thanks
  15. probably not real early. But they will shoal up farther down stream than normal. Think as the channel depth, what was it when you caught them last year and start looking for that depth this year. Easy.
  16. Anyone tried small circle hooks for minnows and crappie??? Thinking of doing some drifting for crappie and using one rod in a holder. My thought is that if I used circle hooks they would not swallow the hook and shorts could be released unharmed. Anyone have any experience with this?
  17. Table Rock Black Lights is who to look at. I have two and gave one to my partner. Wonderful and have a warranty. Jerry's a great guy. I have used all kinds of different ones. Most only make it few months. We night fish spring summer and fall, most of the time twice a week. I have broke the best, and Jerry's lights have lasted couple years now. Even had one fall of the side of the boat on plane, bounce around in the water while we shut down, and worked again after we had to put the bulb back in its brackets.
  18. Welcome to the girl we call Table Rock. She will break your heart.
  19. Went today also. Had 16 keepers between two of us. Found one brushpile that they were stacked on, other than that it was drift and hope. 4 shorts was all. Best color we found was a powder blue backed pearl belly swimming minnow. Stayed throu the rain but should have went home, the bite got stupidly light when it did happen. Missed quite a few where in the morning they were eating it hard with the tell tale crappie "thump".
  20. B-day, B-day, B-day
  21. Still kinda quiet...lol.
  22. Catfish? Not a species most chase this time of year around here. Be interested to hear if anyone has any positive input. Personally I would wait till at least march, or 60 degree water.
  23. Same, if in anyway possible Im in and helping. Location Ideas? Mill Creek on TR?
  24. Bitethis, check out the new lucky "e" strike sticks. just under 10 and they are almost a perfect match to the megabass. Have been using them a couple times this winter and seem to work fine.
  25. Ok, thanks for the wonderful report as usual.
