  5. great trip. wonderful to hear you taking out a kid. how deep where the crappie?
  6. Wesley, Its just out of galena, someone can tell you better cause I havent used it in years. Went this morning, Hit the water at 5am. Fished for eyes till 615. gave up and caught a limit of whites by 7 and headed crappie fishin. Hope this cold weather doesnt slow the bite.
  7. Anyone thrown a stick at the eyes up there? seems just before daylight it would be a good pattern. Might try it in a couple days, let everyone know if it hits or fails.
  8. Come on Eric, give me so info (squeeze), lol. Just mainly looking for some quick crappie and white bass trips before work, couple hours. Probably be done with the job by May.
  9. Thanks, im in a maroon and black ranger, 115 merc.
  10. Does anyone fish Big Indian Creek near baxter much? Ive got a job that will but me right off of an access in the back of the main creek arm. Didnt know if anyone finds any whites up there or crappie maybe. Never ventured out that way much and just curious to see what others have done. Not looking for specific gps points just some basic patterns. Thanks
  11. Had a good morning in that area this morning. seemed we could do no wrong. caught them in one spot and got closed in by boats, I hate when a boat moves in when they see you catching fish. Pulled in right in front of us as we were moving up the bank. So we moved and found them in anouther hole. After the boats didnt do so well and moved, we went back and fished it again, here came more boats. All in all good day, still havent found the eyes yet.
  12. Walnut Springs sub-division has a nice ramp also, but the parking is only for 8 to 10 rig/trailers. Paved and concrete all the way. McCord Bend ramp is closed now, the owner got feed up with all the headache. Longs Camp has a ramp but its dirt/mud and u better have a light boat and a good 4wheel drive. Put in at Walnut this morning. 6am had my limit by 7:30. Picked up two buddies and had limits by 10.
  13. wonderful walleye!! where did u pick them up at? like to know the general area and depth, and slack or in the current. Have fished the james now for years and caught a ton of whites, and have never caught an eye while there.
  14. got two phone calls this morning also lilley. James is hot and packed this weekend. White blue and purble swimming minnows and white roostertails. one call said they limited out by 9 this morning. Most were a little down from blunks, but im sure they are almost everywhere...
  15. Denjac, were you fishin in the Indians creeks close to Indian point? If so Id like some more info on the whites.
  16. Sounds good boys, wish more people would wait till the dogwoods in bloom to go chase them. Last sunday there were at least 30 boats in that one large stretch and many were limited out, right time right place. Yep, think we should all just hang around the house. lol. I do understand that they are tempermental right now because of temps going up and down and the fronts moving throu, but if hit right, its a blast. good fishing boys
  17. go up the james to walnut springs...pearl swimming minnows or blue. even roostertails. If they turn on while your there, u can limit out in 30 minutes, if they dont, u can catch 3 or 4 an hour most times...trust me...lol.
  18. Hea, Trav do u have any pics?/?? got a guy wondering what it is.
  19. If you dont stop posting those pics, its going to cost me around $1400. Great pics, question. Everyone says the SI and DI works when you move down a bank, just curious what it shows when you are sitting still? Does it keep the screen still until you move forward slowly or what...
  20. I agree Techo, dont forget stickbait color and old and new wiggle warts.....Lets just go fishing, and let the fish decide.
  21. Chub, Thats great....Bassholes... Ill have to remember that one.. Thanks Foz, I will keep that in mind then. I dont mind the big boys to much, like most I have storys myself, but just that I dont want issues with kiddos in the boat with me.
  22. Thinking of joining Bill and Bill and running to the upper bull myself. I want to take out my boy for the first real trip of the year and like &$%$ am I going to take him around guys that will act that way. Hope a lot of the FLW boys read this, but Im sure it wouldnt help if they did.
  23. Hea guys, Dont want you to feel bad about having a slow day. I havent had time to go but I went to BPro last night. I heard from Jay Yelas and both Hibdons, and talked with Stacey King for bout ten minutes. Great guys to talk to. Now of course they might have been holding back, but none had found anything that had them at the least bit excited. Most had been around the white of course, but Stacey started his practice around the dam. All said that the fish are sure moving slow and had wished that we would have had a warm spell before getting here. All seemed to be leaning towards the jig. I cant wait to hear who and how these big boys do with the hard fishing on the rock. I havent heard, who knows where and when the weigh-ins are?
  24. My biggest thought is what till the next two years when the dinks from last year get to be 3 and 4 lbs.........
