  1. Yes you better believe I'll be fishing too. Come **** or high water, I don't look for excuses to NOT DO what i want, I look for excuses to DO what I want.
  2. Yeah it's always tough to get anybody to help for info on Bull Shoals section of the forum. I'm sure the water has cleared enough to fish somewhat with all that is coming through the dam at Table Rock to flush out Taney.
  3. If you click on the Bull Shoals Topic and scroll down to the Sub Topics to any such topic as this. Then look right and next to the last person to reply's name it has a little box that has a number of views in it. I hope I was able to accurately describe. It' over 140 views right now, lol
  4. It's amazing after so many views on this question on this that not 1 person had been down there to see the water, thanks. I guess I will go find out for myself.
  5. Does anybody know if the water is still milky brown coming over the top?
  6. I was down at Powersite last night and witnessed walleye, smallmouth, and drum being caught. We caught a few crappie before we had to leave off the bank. Today I went down and as I launched my kayak a guy was leaving with a stringer of big Drum and Stripers. I'm not sure what the guys were catching up by the fence by the dam. I paddled across to the other side and threw a cast net for shad. I caught 5 big drum, 1 striper, and 1 25" walleye. Also got broke off with fish 4 times. A mixture of shad used with a slip bobber and bottom fishing with a sinker. Also threw jigs and caught a couple. I just thought I'd give a heads up to anybody wanting to get down there before it gets flooded big time.
  7. I would think somewhere on Bull Creek would be about the best chance to find them since it clears up so fast after a flood. About a week ago, I saw hundred up in Swan Creek just upstream of the park.
  8. You sure come up with a lot of crazy different forecasts
  9. Your net looks like its been repaired quite a few times, too many fish it looks like. Has there been any other fish being caught yet?
  10. Hog big was your biggest Flathead?
  11. Wow now that's an awesome report. I don't know which is better, Flatheads or Crappie?
  12. I found my first spring Hen of the Woods last year. I had never seen one before. If my son hadn't deleted every photo on my phone a few months ago, I'd show a picture of it with morels in the same pic. Probably mid April. My next earliest was mid summer and then several in the fall.
  13. I find lots of morels but have never found chanterelles where morels grow, with that said though, I don't go to my morel spots looking for chanterells. It seems they grow lots of places, especially in the bigger timber it seems, which is more open. I'm about had my fill of morels already, I've been trying desperately to find a Hen of the Woods in the last couple weeks.
  14. Nice report, were they on the banks with brush or out deeper in submerged brush?
  15. That's what I use also. I was fishing last night and noticed I left my tag end a little short, but thought ahh it'll work. Next fish got off and I had a curly end on the line. That's what happens when you're rushing to get the next fish.
  16. I wish I could help. I get a little lazy on my knot tightness sometimes and a fish will pull the hook off the line, but I like it also.

Nice bass, it's not very often you can fish that spot with water coming in.
  18. Yeah it's a busy busy spot for sure. But I'm limited to a canoe and didn't wanna paddle to far. Especially without electronics to help a little.
  19. You done better than me, I was around PT 15 for a couple hours and only managed 2 crappie.
  20. Nice, what time of day did you catch it?
  21. No he was downstream of Walnut Springs
  22. I talked with a guy today who said they've been catching huge huge whites downstream of Walnut Springs Ramp.
  23. I've been fishing randomly from the dam to around the Barker Hole and haven't gotten into them real good. Just a few each trip with a walleye now and then. All my fishing has been from the bank which is very limiting. I've been trying to pick banks with a mud line in the wind.
  24. Finley runs into the James just a short distance from both Ozark and Nixa, so it's all the same water. Just by the looks, smell, and clarity I'd still choose the Finley over the James. There's many times more pollutants coming out of Springfield into the James than Nixa and Ozark combined. Yes there is lots of suckers all over the Finley. And yes I think it's gross no matter which river you choose, it's really aggravating.
