It could have been skin mounted, head cast, fins molded. I do that all the time. But then its a MO. Record so it would be a shame to skin mount it and not have a mold for reproductions. So who is the jealous personor old biddy at the chruch that did not wnat a dead fish in the freezer? I just cant imagine that fish in the trash. At any rate get a hold of Ron, he is the man for molding this fish. His son cleaned up with reproductions at the world show last spring and the nationals in summer. Bev is Ron's Ex-wife. so she also knows what to do. They are the best.

Still could be a sad story. the reason is the heat of two days is very hard on trout. especially the bright silver scaled fish like this one. Send it dirrectly to Bev at Bevs Fish Creations in Emory TX. or Ron Kelly in Greenwall. TX either of those are the two best fish molders in the country.. If it can be molded ron can do it. Google them.

Who Makes What?

Now get real. the same company does not both boats. two different companies under one corperation.. Rangers are all built in the Flippin AR plant. What you are saying is worse than GMC and Chevrolet trucks being the same. Boats are more different than the badges on them... Call Randy Hopper at Ranerg and ask him! 870-453 2222 Randy.Hopper@RangerBoats.com -
Could be a this years deer with spots? Looks like a bit of fallow deer, they should not cross but may have if one was released at some point. That is certainly not a piebald! Nice deer hope you have the hide tanned.

You are right they will have to have high water to make it from Flippin to the White.. With the gates open and generators tunning more may run up the creek.... That slab has had a lot of smallies caught from it this year. kind of sad to remove the hole works great for fish habitat. I just dont see where the ARFC needs a .5million$$$ bridge.

They are not wild they were stocked and should be treated as such.

The last two weekends for some reason the small browns to 2 lbs have been everywhere. There has been a release of Palamino Rainbows, we say several last weekend and Yesterday my wife caught one. I have caught 7 largemouth and 9 smallmouth bass out of the White the past two weekends. Thousands of rainbows.. Well maybe 40 a piece both days with lures and Power Biat. Several rainbows are being cuaght in Crooked Creek above Kelly's slab, a spawer male was caught yesterday near Silver Valley Road just out of Harrison. I expect they have migrated a bit with the fall high water.

I never liked fishing around public or private docks.... Fish the lake not the docks. Then when you catch fish it proves you can catch fish!.

MDC needs some genetic diversity in their browns. Dont think so?? Look how long the records stand and at the lower weights, yea there is a lot of pressure but sometime a large fish has to slip through the hooks to grow old.. BUt part of this falls onto the COE, for lack of water flow and low O2. The COE promised the the trout fishing would replace the lost warm water fish. BUt they fail to allow enough water at time for the fish to live, killing the food chain.

There is a bigger one from Kansas already.. the WS buck is not close to WR.. but the Kansas buck is. http://www.donnan.com/whitetail_bucks.htm You can see theres a lot of difference in the WS buck and these pics. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/hunting...ecord_Burkehead http://www.deerhuntingbigbucks.com/2009/01...-drying-period/ I dont pay any attention to so called record bucks, like the kids in the locker room. someone always has one bigger. A trophy is what the shooter thinks is a trophy. 3 pointer or 15. mass or not, it just does not matter.

Setup a game camera across the road and park and watch.. the idiot might comeback.

White Road Runners, fished slow and int he head of the pools. T Bend to Gilbert is a couple hours at the flow the river is at today.. A bit fast to fish from a boat. You may want to go to Baker Ford if you want a bit longer trip.

Those are not ladybugs.. Do some research.. Last time I posted something, someone jump my butt about knowing what and posting lnks.. So get on gooble and find out those are not lady bugs..

Do it right,, silicone is wrong and it will not last long either.. Dutch told you is easy one dixie cup of resin 8 drops of harnder and saturated the matt,,, yea get matt to push in small wet pieces into t he hole,, let it set sand a bit do it again.. until you have it almost perfect.. then you can wet out some cloth with resin the sameway.... its the best way to fix it, way stronger and better than pushing silicone into it, silicone is justy wrong.. its a caulk for the house..

Thought I was going to have to run over Jeremy last weekend.... He kept getting in the way.. The load in his boat,, he needs a longer boat!! Just joking.

I dont fly fish, I spin fish and even use a bait caster from time to time. I would think landing the fish asap is the best on the fish. I have lost a couple huge browns the last 60 days, net person was not fast enough. Caught a large bow 10lbs plus and landed it within a couple minutes and it never revived, water was low two weekneds ago, matter of fact I pulled my boat up stream over the shoals from Wildcat to White hole. I use heavoer line than you guys do tippet and still the bow died. Low O2 and the stress, so ow long to fight a fish, only GOd knows. That day we saw lots of dead fish, lots of good browns and hundred of bows that never made it. God knows, we can only guess.

We may have a gold mine on White River. http://www.kidneysite.com/?source=googlead...y=tc#howitworks scroll down and see one use for it??

For you guys with lots of body hair, shave the left side, set the right side on fire and stab them with an ice pick when they runout. I have had thousands of ticks over the years and nothing is sure about protecting yourself or removing them. The tick spoon, tick key or just pull them, dont forget the seed ticks either. It does not seem to matter if you drown them or use vaseline or even WD-40 when they cannot breath the dont alwaqys turn loose and sometimes they still spit their body fluids back into your bite site.

I dont know the O2 level but it has to be low. Several of the bait guides are complaining about the dead fish. ONe generator one would fix the problem. I caught a large raibow yesterday that did not make it. Worked her a lot trying to get her going but then the water was low and wadable in many manyplaces were boats are normally. My boat is a flat bottom river jon aluminum that will float in almost nothing of water, river is so low I am thinking hard about putting my 4 hp motor on and then I doubt I can do much but go down stream over the shoals. Ditymo is making its way down stream, I am seeing some as far down now as Rim Shoals. When the water does come up its almost impossible to fish because of the ditymo, moss and other plants coming down river.

Powersites only purpose is electricity. The rest of the White River dams were built first for flood control, then secondly for a power source. The cold water killed most fo the fish below the dams. All this is simply and its fact, right. Now we also know that tourisum is huge and trout produce tourist right???? The COE put it in writing that they will maintain the minum flow the river would produce for that time of year and this should allow the trout to do well. That was a long before O2 studies and long before all the tree in the drainage basins were cleared, This is trees way up the creeks in the white river drainage which allowed for cooler cleaner waters entering the lakes. and more water in fact. Back in those days Crooked creek did not dry up near Flippin and go underground. Boone County Arkansas Bear Creek was still cold at the Hwy 14 bridge. Matter of fact back when Devito built his trout farm, that spring ran year round and flowed extremly well. and theother springs along bear creek flowed well enough all summer that we caught trout the whole length for many years after a large flood. What is now classified as Denning Creek also flowed the year around, thid creek flows behind the old Castle Rock Station at Bear Creek Springs and the AR hwy dept had to cross the creek to quarry limestone. My grandparents owned the station on the 1940s and 1950s. My grandmother sister and husband owned the quarry and leased it to the Ar HWy dept. Since I started fishing in the mid 1960's I have seen Bear Creek change, Crooked Crrek change and even Table Rock and Bull Shoals change, the water is warmer be a good bit and in the summer it is not nearly as clear as it use to be. My point is the COE had to replace the warm water fish with something and trout were the choice... Isaw the guy from Empire Elct. do his presentation and to the people who dont know much about the lakes, the drop pf water to produce electricity sounds impressive. Be raising Bull Shoals five feet for the min flow that has been set, it at current pwoer pool the Powersite dam can still produce the current max rate of electricity. five feet on Bull does not back all the way up top the Powerstie dam. This bogus BS is Empires way of getting their hands on extra money without any loss producing more profit. While the White rive below Bull Shoals suffers trout loss, habitat loss during extreme low water as we have had this last two months. It all amounts who grease the Congressmen and senetors the best. All the crap is twisted, none of the facts as I see it mpire said "OH, hell AG&FC is getting something we need to get something. So let's stress the Best put and take fishery for trout and kill some great browns all for the BS and playing GOD.

If you drive, make plans to do a Wild West trip. Rushmore, Deadwood. Wall Drug, Badlands, Devils tower, Big Horn Battle Field, Yellowstone, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Rocky Mtn National Park, Denver Museum of Natural History, Fossil Museum in Kansas, Cabelas at Bonner Springs KS. Makes an awesome 10 day to two week trip. Rushmore is awesome around the 4th of july with the fireworks, you have to plan for it due to the dates. Cheyenne Frontier Days in around the end of July. Old Fatihfull is awesome early in the morning. not many people up and around at the break of day eruption. You can visit the Denver Museum of Natural History and then the mint. As long as you are near Yellowstone Cody has some really neat things to see. Buffalo Bill. The Grand Tetons is just around the corner too.

Saturday the wife and I put in as Wildcat and ran up river to the islands. Had to drag over the first big shoal. We finally after the crowd left the second shoal at the upstream isalnd went on up to White Hole. We counted 33 dead brown trout from 16 to 22 inches and stopped at 100 rainbows. There was almost zero water flow. Even the guys in driftboats were having to walk the boats over the shoals going down river. We say lots of people wearing nothing more than jeans standing waist deep in the holes you know trying to get the cast a bit farther out. We need some real studies done on the stress levels that low flow induces. we saw a lot of large browns on the heads of the shoals and at the foot of the shoals, I suspect the ones at the bottom of shoals were there for O2. But the big broans at the top of the shoals were not feeding and did not spook easy either. Is the CoE trying to kill fish??? or the heavy fishing pressure and low O2 doing it. Several of the browns had small zebra midges and glow balls broke off deep. Do you know how hard it is for me to thrwo back and dead fish thats perfect in color and could be salvaged for a mount??????????? I just kept saying oh hell no!!! After the one generator came on line and the flow increased the fishing really picked up......... We arrived back ath Wildcat just at dark and were catching nice bows all the way after water flow improved.
