  1. Thanks Phil. We will have a blast as always. We will probably be dancin in the rain most of the time, but it will be good to get away. I'll stop by the shop and say hello if you're going to be around.
  2. PC, I'll be passin by on Wednesday, if we stop, I'll give an update.
  3. The annual storming of the shores of TRL and various other fishy spots of SWMO (Crane, RRSP, HWT) this coming Wednesday!
  4. Man! I love that stuff! I got to see Marine One fly over a couple of times when the Pres came to town. Flew right over work on the way to Arnold and back. First time I've ever seen her live. I totally dig the big "toys".
  5. OH MAN! I hope the weather geeks are totally wrong on this....
  6. Yeah, give it up Wrench!
  7. I'm going to bump this just because I too am curious. Plus it was a good post. Polite and to the point, or maybe to the secondary point. Never the less, let's hear what y'all think.
  8. Chris, I hit Bee Tree this afternoon after I finished my "chores". Of course it was raining when I was done. I saw one guy with a limit of decent sized crappie when I arrived. I caught 4 bass in about an hour all out of the same general area. This being the biggest. Saw plenty of gills too, bout average size for the lake. You should check it out.
  9. Welcome! I too will be at TRL on those dates. Sorry though, I'm not a catfish hunter. You and the Mrs will have a blast - fish or no fish.
  10. Bittle, great report and thanks for sharing the story and the pics. You nailed it brother, that's what its all about, enjoying something you love to do, with good friends. Glad y'all had a great time.
  11. Chris, I agree with Kutter, even though he gave up "my" spot. Bee Tree is a nice lake and a very kid friendly park. It gets less pressure than Suson. I go there all the time. So, if you ever want to go, I can give you directions and maybe meet ya down there.
  12. Chris, first off, welcome! Next, what general area of the city do you live in? Also, are you looking for BIG gills or just something to catch?
  13. Hannah and beetle, great shot Phil!
  14. TFM, what happened to you? No report at all? You still around/alive?
  15. FW and TB, I was only telling my story. I think the shop I deal with waits until they get a few rods to send back all at once to save everyone on shipping costs (that's probably not a regulation Sage response time). I've never dealt with Sage directly. Although I feel they have always been very good to me. I've had my 5wt since 2000 and they have never questioned me on any warranty issue. In fact if they no longer make the rod I own(albeit broken), I have gotten an upgrade. The folks at Sage have my utmost respect. I do not expect a 5-7 working day turn around, especially if the issue is uh, not exactly fishing related. Just my opinion. That is all that was asked I believe.... and no, my feelings aren't hurt, I don't have any.
  16. I've broken my Sage a couple of times, yep, a couple. I just take the whole rod back to where I bought it, in its original tube, and 4-6 weeks(plus or minus, it seems like an eternity) later I get a whole new piece. I usually have to pay $12 or so for shipping.
  17. Bman, is the house next door to you for sale? Does your son need a new best friend? Do you see where I'm going? If you ever need a first mate, holler. I'll buy the gas... for the boat and the truck!
  18. Bman, that is wicked cool! NICE!
  19. I'll say July 14th 2009. I love this kind of stuff. Thanks Phil.
  20. So I guess your wife caught the stringer of 8? Its okay, it happens to me all of the time.... seriously. WELCOME!
  21. JoeD, was wondering how the tourney went? Saturday sure was YUCK.
  22. TFM, let us know how you did when you return....
  23. Here's my .02, change your fluke color from white to green with red or black flake, and you may want to consider a belly weighed hook.
  24. That is a very "Wise" decision on your boy's part....
