Thanks Bman. There was a surprising number of others there. Some guy. Thanks Mic. I only stayed for a couple of hours... four hours of driving for two hours of fishing. Silliness. Thanks laker. I've been around the boards here and there. Finally have gainful employment again so that kind of cuts into the free time ya know.

Agreed, I live in the deep south of STL and my pond which has a very small spring that feeds it is only open water at the north end - most sun and where the spring feeds it. To fish. Drive you must.

Right on Ryan. Lots of info here and some pretty funny "debates" between "-baters" here as well. I'm from the deep south of STL but there are a lot of guys on here from your neck of the hood too. There's nothing wrong with fly roddin for bass....

Really?! My turnaround on the exact same reel was not too shabby but it wasn't near as good as yours. As far as quality, eh... mine has paint dinged off of it on the spool in more than one spot and the chrome counter weight has a burr on it. Not the highest quality, and Justin did offer to replace it but its not really worth all the shipping and hassle in my opinion. I should have just sacked-up and bought a Konic. -
FT57 are you referring to a soft box? There are some commercially produced but its easy to make one from a cardboard box and tissue paper.

I'm in need of some new wading boots bad. I'm buying felt and no one can stop me. I'm pretty sure nothing will be able to live on/in them for the length of time they sit between fishing trips, except maybe a mouse or a spider.
