  3. Never thought about the Chapelle angle.Funny stuff. Dan-o
  4. They'll be fun to watch on offense. Not so fun to watch on defense. 6-6 in the regular season. Dan-o
  5. I agree with Ham. We did very well last year in early Nov. I would try to go while the weather has been somewhat warm for a couple of days if a major cold front has already moved through the area. Dan-o
  6. The schedule says 1 generator tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if the river is flyfishing friendly at this level? Dan-o
  7. Arkansas record is 7 lbs. 5 ounces caught from Bull Shoals. Not sure about Missouri. Dan-o
  8. Outstanding! Now I wish Bobbi and I had tagged along with you guys. Dan-o
  9. Welcome neighbor. I'm right across the river in Ft. Smith. Dan-o
  10. I was up there yesterday also. Beetles were definetly the ticket. I noticed several people fishing illegally in the flies only section. Dan-o
  11. What type and size hopper are you using? Thanks. Dan-o
  12. Leech and Crawfish Patterns. Dan-o
  13. Check Zach's other post in this column. Some nice fish were caught. Dan-o
  14. Still pretty murky. I'd say about 14 to 16 inches of visibilty. Nonetheless, I started with a red SJ worm and netted 6 or 7 before they seemed to catch on. Then I switched to a red Zebra Midge (gold bead and wire) and picked a half dozen more up until they hit the turbines.Good luck. Dan-o
  15. I caught a FAT 18 incher below the dam yesterday about 2 minutes before they turned on the generators along with some in the 14 to 15 inch range. I'll try to post a picture later. Dan-o
  16. Zach, sounds like the same little watersnake that terrorized my wife while we were wading together Sunday afternoon. I told her to just ignore it. Needless to say she wasn't very happy with me. Dan-o
  17. I generally fish the flies only/catch and release area. Anywhere else is pretty much shoulder to shoulder fishing as far as I can tell. Dan-o
  18. That's where I went today. Several hook-ups on the foam beetle, but only got one to the net. Lost 2 really nice ones. Dan-o
  19. The gauge shows that it was in the low 4's on sunday. That's a bit higher than I like to float/fish below KRO but about right for the upper sections. Dan-o
  20. Just a hunch, but I have a feeling they're gonna pull the lake down thru Thursday and then give us some fishable water over the long weekend. It'll be crowded of course. Dan-o
  21. Thank you sir. Dan-o
  22. I know it's a longshot, but I lost a S.A. System X waterproof flybox weekend before last while on my honeymoon. Lost it somewhere in the flies only/catch and release area and I'm not sure if I lost it in the water or on the bank. If anyone here has found it I'd be happy to buy you a case of cold ones for it's return. Thanks. Dan-o
  23. Was up there yesterday after honeymooning on the Kings River/Eureka Springs over the weekend. Did pretty well with red zebra midges (gold bead and wire). Dan-o
  24. That's the same one I have. Dan-o
  25. Took my fiance Bobbi and our dog Buddy for an overnighter this past weekend. Fishing was very good. Caught lots of small brownies on the flyrod in the swift runs though the wind made casting a real pain in the a$$. Fished the deeper pools with spinning gear using a new soft plastic bait and spanked em' good. Big fish was about 18" (pictured). Caught 3 or 4 more in the 14" - 16" range and too many smaller ones to keep count of. Marinated tenderloin kabobs and cold beverages around the campfire Saturday night were awesome though Buddy may have had one too many (lol). Dan-o
