  1. That looks like a great bench, I don't like the fact the part you'll be tying on will have to be loose to move back in place when not tying, I hate anything that moves when I'm tying, I tye on one of these, I own two of them and they are great, one I've been tying on at the shop for over 15 years, and for 5 or 6 years before that I tied in the lodge upstairs(R.R. Lodge) when I was living there, great items, and they are rock steady, make one like this and it should last a couple of lifetimes http://www.flytyingfurniture.com/Catalog.html#TVtyr
  2. Nice fish, I didn't catch any big ones today, a couple pushing 19" but I caught lots of trout on caddis, blue wing olives and adams today, it was great fishing, not many fishing in the park today.
  3. When is the first big sale or re-grand opening going to happen ?
  4. The donut was good this morning, Terry make sure he has donuts there every morning to go with the coffee.
  5. What time will the donuts be there
  6. Sorry they are a smartwool sock, snowboarders socks, black, calf high, has some funky colors on the sides, but man are they warm, wearing mine now
  7. Looks good, should make a good smallie rod. Rod looks like new, good way to bring an old rod back to a new life, I really like fishing my glass rods.
  8. I'll look around, and see what I have, what size do you like, F-1's or F-2's or what rod are you going to put the reel on ?
  9. Rod has sold, thank you.
  10. I'm always looking for a good pair of wading socks, and I have found the best that I've seen for several years. I was in Dynamic earth over on Republic road, just west of national, right beside Mama Jeans, I found the best socks for a decent price, they are snowboarder socks they have extra thickness in the heels and toes and they are warm one of the best things I like about them is I've been wearing them all day and they haven't slipped down, they are over the calf socks. They only cost 23.95 and thats not bad for these socks, so if you need a new pair and your over that way stop in and check them out, I'm going to ask for a few more pair for christmas.
  11. Pretty day on the water, caught maybe 30 fish all day, 3 real nice 4-5 pounders the rest were just your average 12-14" trout. Caught most of mine on san juan worms, pheasant tails, copper johns and woolybuggers. I caught a few on griffiths gnats, and adams this afternoon.
  12. Just talked to the new owner, Tim Fowkes. No sale on anything except some simms clothes. And the sale won't be for several weeks, I think Michael has a heck of a sale going on this weekend any how, this is his last week and he has been selling some stuff really cheap. 40% off some sage rods, and redington rods, and 50% off of simms clothing, can't beat that. I'll bet this weekend will be the best weekend for a deal.
  13. Selling my 6' 2pc 2 tip Lee Wulff bamboo fly rod. Great rod only selling because I just ordered a new rod from the Boobrothers. $600.00. I'll get a picture of two on later. Going to sell some Hart reels also.
  14. Nope there is no more fishing at Roaring River. All the fish are gone.
  15. Really nice fish, congrats.
  16. Is that all you got LOL
  17. The water is still rather high and fast, I'm going to start with 4X flurocarbon and big streamers, I don't think you'll need 6X much this weekend. If you are going to use small nymphs, then 6X will be fine.
  18. 8-4 fri, sat, sun, and mon.
  19. I'll fish two hrs, work three hrs, and then fish 3 more hrs, I'll put in a full day Shop open from 10-1 ONLY
  20. They will work, I caught several below the park today, about the same size and color Lots of fish in the river. Should be a good opener on friday.
  21. No problem, everybody on the forum is here to help. Lots of good info on here.
  22. I guess it would 40 years for me give or take at Roaring River and Flat creek that runs thru Cassville I started fishing R.R. in 68 and I fished it every year with my dad, many times a year, untill I could drive and then I guess I fished it several times a week when I could afford the gas to get down there. Skipped a lot of school to fish R.R. and I don't think I ever had a job that got in the way of my fishing. We used to skip out of school and fish flat creek, mostly smallmouth and bluegill, but with the trout hatchery being so close we got the occasional rainbow, I received many a whooping by Mr. Trotter our school principal. I got better at skipping when I started driving I can't remember missing an opening. I've made the opening every year since I was 6 years old. Gosh I'm old.......
  23. If the weather is nice, it will be very busy, but busy during the C&R season might only be 200 fisherman and about 1000 people out messing around, but even with 200 people fishing the park, you'll still have plenty of room, maybe not a hole to yourself, but you will once in awhile. 24. Yes Phil it is on the map.
