  1. Nice LM. What part of the Ozark country did you catch it? And was it a river or stream? No need for specifics.
  2. Welcome back Phil. You know what they say, "When the cat's away the mice will play".
  3. Great advise. I'll try to add that to my arsenal. Thanks Dano
  4. No problem.
  5. Very cool pics.
  6. As far as I can tell I'm going to be free on the 6th. I'll mark it on my calendar.
  7. +1 Exactly what I would have said.
  8. Good idea Chief. I can do 10-10-10. Any ideas on a stretch of stream to float?
  9. Happy Birthday to all, even you Flytyer. Just kiddin'
  10. That sounds like a good idea. Everything I've seen taday is running muddy and more rain in the forecast for tonite.
  11. Don't try to keep me from my digglers, or was that giblets, either way they are mine and I can only be the one to decide what and how I handle them. Mom always said "I could never leave the window sills alone."
  12. Yeah, chubs will eat anything. Them are some good looking trout.
  13. Happy B-Day Kevin.
  14. We thought you fell off the face of the earth Drew. I don't think I could survive for 2 months without fishing.
  15. He's definitely a great guy. The small amount of time I got to spend talking to him was great. I hope I get the chance to fish with him sometime.
  16. We've been called worse. Welcome aboard.
  17. I have to admit when I read a post that is so specific that I could just drive over and get into the same location it sort of makes me cringe. Anyone who has met me or Chief in person knows that we will be glad to take anyone to any ( well almost ) of our spots. That being said, I don't feel like I need to know the specific stream that any of the other OAF members post reports on. If I get interested I will PM that person and ask if he/she would be interested in divulging more information or let me tag along the next time they fish it. These secret or not so secret spots don't deserve to be brodcasted around the WORLD. Yes the WWW stands for WORLD WIDE WEB. That being said, I will continue to rename my special creeks. BTW, they are all out there for anyone to find if he or she wishes to put in the effort to find them.
  18. If I hadn't notice what topic this was posted in, I might have thought that you were confused and posted the wrong site. Your wording is very intersting though.
  19. I'm sure this isn't all that starange, but I had a Blue Heron jump from an old dead tree top and grab my spook. I saw him diving, but realized too late what exactly he was diving for. I was able to jerk it away from him before he was able to swallow the lure. I know someone who got spooled when a heron grabbed his spook.
  20. I would vote for late Sept.
  21. Yeah, if you aren't fishing in the brush you probably won't catch some of the better fish.
  22. I happen to believe they are doing a good job when they just cruise through or stop at certain places along the river. If you aren't doing anything wrong it may look like they may not be earning thier money, but if you are doing something wrong you might want to pack up and leave. The last time I was at Roaring River I saw a much greater presence than in the past. Come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any illegal fishing behavior. I guess they were earning thier paycheck that day. What do they do every minute of thier day? I don't know that anymore than I know what a traffic cop does every minute he or she is on duty either, but it's good to know they are around.
  23. That's what I was afraid of. Thanks.
